Re: Photo scaling and DSM-320
I've had a similar problem. The fix, for me, was to the edit the clients.db file in the resouces directory, underneath the main twonkymedia one (This is on Linux, Windows might be slightly different). In here is a section for the DSM-320 (around line 200) I changed the line that begins with TR: to: ...

Re: Problem Transcoding Flac to Wav
Sorry that didn't work. I'm interested in this problem as I'm actually having exactly the same issue on Linux with version 6.0. I can see the directories being created in the cache, but no wav files. I have found a workaround though. TwonkyMedia on Linux is normally run "daemonized" by passing it a ...

Re: Problem Transcoding Flac to Wav
Just a suggestion, and I haven't had time to test this, but since ffmpeg is working for flac to mp3, why don't you try using ffmpeg.exe instead of flac.exe for the flac to wav conversions? The exec line in the flac-wav.desc would probably be: exec: ffmpeg -i $infile $outfile I've used ffmpeg to tran...

Re: Can I play WAV files on the XBox using Twonky?
I've had a go at flac to mp3 transcoding, to get round the problem of the XBox not being able to play wav files. I've got the plugin to be called by Twonky, and mp3 files are created in the cache directory. However they aren't sent to the client unless I give the transcoded files a .wav extension, i...

Re: How do I setup Twonky to serve FLACs
Did the wav file you placed in the Music directory have a different name to any of your flac files? If it did then Twonky must be telling the Xbox that this is a wav file. If the Xbox thinks that it can't play it, then all I can deduce is that your Xbox can't handle wav files. :( This thread seems t...

Re: How do I setup Twonky to serve FLACs
Well at least that works :) If you have changed the clients.db file to read "MT:flac audio/x-flac" instead of "MT:flac audio/flac" for the XBox entry, and have stoped and restarted Twonky (or just rebooted), then Twonky should now magically make your your flac files "appear" to be wav files. If the ...

Re: How do I setup Twonky to serve FLACs
It looks like the flac-i386_341_225.zip file comes from the Twonky Addons page This works on a PC running openSUSE, so I'm guessing that it should also work on Ubuntu. You can test the plugin by, as described by lutipold earlier in this thread, as below: Place a test.flac file in /tmp and (as root?)...

Re: DSM-320 flac to wav transcoding solution!
Don't know if this is the best place to discuss the XBox
You could look at this thread where XBox transcoding was discussed.
Or start a new thread in the XBox forum. I'd be happy to pitch in there.

Re: Matroska MKV format conversion
To convert the files you could try MediaCoder available at: http://mediacoder.sourceforge.net/ It's free, runs on Windows and Linux (under Wine) and appears to be able to convert Matroska files. I've only used it convert mp4 or xvid files, but it seems to work quite well. As for a codex mpeg2 is pro...

Try ffmpeg instead of flac
Good to hear that you've also got this working. :D Once thing I've discovered since my original post is that ffmpeg decodes flac files at least twice as fast than flac itself. To decode a file with ffmpeg your just need to type: ffmpeg -i title.flac title.wav So I've just changed my version of the p...

DSM-320 flac to wav transcoding solution!
I've been trying to get flac to wav transcoding working reliably with my DSM-320 for a couple of weeks. As I've finally cracked it, I thought that I should share my experiences here, as there isn't too much documentation out there (probably because Twonky don't seem to provide support for transcodin...

Reciva Firmware Issue?
The Revo Blik seems to be based, like a lot of other internet radios, on the Reciva chipset. I've seen the exact same problem you're experiencing posted on the Reciva forum, but only on an Intempo unit: https://www.reciva.com/index.php?option=com_joomlaboard&Itemid=108&func=view&id=11351&catid=3#msg...

I had a similar problem to mw3330 regarding scaling. My pictures didn't appear full screen. I emailled Twonky support about this, and they suggested that I needed a "custom" scaling factor, and advised me how to go about changing this. It's quite simple.... All you need to do is edit the clients.db ...

Video Not Working on OpenSuse
Sadly, I'm in the video not working properly camp. TwonkyVision is running on an Linux OpenSuse 10.2 machine. The DSM-320 has the 1.07eu firmware, and I use a wired connection. With 4.2b3 I have no problems. However with Twonky 4.4 if I play a folder containing videos, then the first video will play...

I'd have to query something in the update from Christian. He stated that the problem was only with DivX playback from Linux servers. I'm having the problem of the DSM-320 locking up with MPEG videos on all versions from 4.2b4 onwards. So I think this is a bigger problem, i.e. all videos, than he is ...
