Re: Help with directories
Hi geeewocka, You mention that you're using an attached USB drive for your content. I was wondering if you are using the "browse by folder" option on the PS3 when you are navigating through your content. This is probably the reason why everything is appearing into one main folder if it is coming fro...

Re: LG TV + my book world streaming problems
Hi icooney, Can you explain how you upgraded TwonkyServer on your MyBook World device? As far as I know, WD has never issued any firmware updates to the MyBook to update the TwonkyServer, although we have provided them with all of our latest builds. I was wondering how the upgrade was installed and ...

Re: PC MediaBrowser on WD MyBook World II
Hi , From your description of the problem it sounds as if you may have copied all of your songs onto the My Book World II into a folder that the TwonkyServer is not scanning for content. You shouldn't need to upload them one-by-one from the web interface. Here is what I would suggest as a way to fix...

Re: PS3 no Stops Seeing TwonkyMediaServer
This seems a little strange. I'm wondering if anything has changed on your network, perhaps there is some change to your firewall setting as compared to before? Here is one suggestion: - Open the TwonkyServer's web configuration page - Open the "Media Receivers" link - Click the button that says "Re...

Re: Connected Home/DLNA Best Practices (Updated)
We have done several things in TMS 5.1.3 and TMM 1.3.1 to improve streaming of MKV files on Samsung TVs. There is still an issue with REW/FF as you know. The cause of this issue is the fact that Samsung TVs need to get the playtime of a file before it can support file seeking (REW/FF). Currently ou...

Re: Automatically restart Twonky after re-boot
I'm not sure what OS you're running on, but for XP try the following: Open the Control Panel - then select Administrative Tools - then select Services. On this page you should be able to find TwonkyMedia listed as one of the services. Change it's "Startup Type" setting to Automatic. I'm assuming tha...

Re: Turn off image scaling
Hi, Yes, there is a way to disable rescaling of photos if you are comfortable with editing the server's .ini file. You can find this in the installation directory of your Twonky server on Linux. - Open the file - add in the following line norescale=1 - save and close the file, then restart the serve...
