Re: can't watch videos
I don't know which Denon AVR you're using, but my understanding is that Denon AVRs do not support video or photo streaming playback via their Ethernet connection. The Denon Ethernet music server ("Denon Network Audio") is compatible with audio files only. You'd need something else besides a Mac-to-D...

Re: Denon/Mac help
Hi Ted, Navigate to one of your music files (one that won't play); then click on the column headings, and choose to add the "Bit Rate" heading in order to display bit-rate info. Alternatively, do the same thing in a media player, such as iTunes, Windows Media Player, Media Monkey, etc. Find out if t...

Re: Denon/Mac help
Which Twonky version are you using? And what file format are you attempting to play via Denon (mp3, wma, wav, flac)? What is the bit rate? Note that the Denon has some bit-rate limitations, depending on the file type you're using (e.g., WMA = 48-192 kbps; MP3 = 32-320 kbps). The only files that my D...

Re: Media Server 4.4.4 - CS407 - Denon 3808
I have experienced this only occassionally on my Denon 3808 via TMS 4.9. I believe, however, that it only happened if the #1 file was an UNcompressed WMA file. I cannot get the Denon to play a lossless WMA file via Twonky. Were your first and second tracks coming from the same source (i.e., same alb...

Denon 3808 needs Twonky
One of the reasons I bought the Denon 3808CI was for its network capability via Ethernet. However, Denon's own internal media server ("Denon Network Audio") very rarely finds my Vista PC. Others have had similar issues. Things to try include: Ensure that Windows Media Player is running before bootin...

Re: Are You Happy With Your Denon Hardware?
Denon 3808CI Overall, I'm happy with this A/V receiver. Pros: [*]Sound quality is above average if set up with care [*]Dolby True HD and dts-HD Master Audio (the best!) [*]HDMI 1.3 switching [*]Audyssey EQ is state of the art [*]Network-ready (but see Cons) [*]Firmware upgrades via Ethernet or USB ...
