Twonky Media Server not recursing into subdirectories
I have a directory structure for my movies like: /drobo/Videos/Movies/Horror/Classic/1980/ When twonky scans it finds everything up to the classic directory but it will not go into 1980. If I share 1980 directory it finds all the files. Any idea why? Is there a limit on subdirectories? Im running 7....

Re: Twonky Server 6 Linux - PS3
Yup.... Same thing here... Mine being on a QNap device (Linux, ARM based). If the disks are spun down, the server doesn't show up.... Although, Twonky "sees" the PS3 and seems to spin-up the disks to get going... That can take some time however... :/ I am glad to hear I am not the only one. Also th...

Re: Twonky Server 6 Linux - PS3
ok so I have been playing around and I realize now that the server does not show when my drive is spun down. When the drive is active the server shows automatically via the PS3.
Any ideas why this is? Maybe a bug in v6?

Re: Twonky Server 6 Linux - PS3
Yes to all of the above... The server keeps all of its settings when restarted or the box being rebooted. Also I do have it set to allow receivers automatically and the PS3 is listed in the allowed receivers list. http://aivila.com/temp/twonkyss.png This is really annoying and I can not get a respon...

Twonky Server 6 Linux - PS3
I am running Twonky Server 6 on my linux box and all is well. The only problem I am seeing is that I have to scan for the media server everytime I start my PS3. When I had the old version installed it was just be there. It finds it everytime I scan and I am able to play movies, etc... But why do I h...

This key is already in use by another instance of the server
I had a issue with my box and had to reinstall the OS and twonky. Now my PS3 can not see any of the stuff in my server. I am guessing its because I am getting the following error on my server status page: This key is already in use by another instance of the server. I sent a question directly to two...

Re: Can not get to twonky server web interface on same network
So what I suspected seems to be right. I added a sleep command into the shell script to make the script wait a minute before continuing which would give the network time to come up. I rebooted and now twonky started and in listening on all interfaces. [root@bighat init.d]# cat twonkyserver #!/bin/sh...

Re: Can not get to twonky server web interface on same network
I did some testing and after a reboot just restarting the server makes it listen on all interfaces, I am guessing the twonky process is either starting before networking is up, or before each interface gets an IP address.
BTW, I have 2 NICs in the machine.

Re: Can not get to twonky server web interface on same network
Yes it is running after reboot, the problem is its only listening on the loopback after boot. Two processes are started at boot: root 1975 1 0 Apr06 ? 00:00:00 /usr/local/twonkymedia/twonkymedia -D root 1976 1975 0 Apr06 ? 00:05:56 /usr/local/twonkymedia/twonkymediaserver -D

Re: Can not get to twonky server web interface on same network
I also have an update, someone told me to delete the .ini file so I did then restarted the server with /etc/init.d/twonkyserver restart
Now I am able to see the server from any client, but if I reboot the machine nothing.

Re: Can not get to twonky server web interface on same network
Thanks, but on the web config page (when accessed via local machine) I see this:
Network Interfaces: 127.0.0.1
10.0.0.4
192.168.1.2
Does that not mean that it is configured for all interfaces?
Thanks in advance for the help!

Can not get to twonky server web interface on same network
I have had twonky up and running for about a year and a half or so. I decided to install the newest version, what a mistake. The server works fine from my linux machine (http://127.0.0.1:9000) but I can not access it from other machines on the same network, including my PS3. firewall is open (iptabl...

Youtube?? Where is it??
I have twonly installed on my fedora box and I use the web interface to manager it (http://10.0.0.4:9000). I have everything checked on the media feeds section and have filled out the info for youtube and flickr. But when I start up the PS3 or visit the web interface I can not find any youtube video...

I have twonky all set up and running at boot, etc... I was wondering if it was a good idea to run the service as root, and if not how do I get it to run as a user?

I have Twonky running on a new test box I have running fedora 11. Its working quite well. I have one small problem which I was wondering if someone could shed some light on. Twonly not adding AVI and MPG video to database
I just installed Twonky Media Trial on my Windows Vista PC. I have a HUGE media library so I allowed it to scan overnight. It has found all 30,000 + songs without an issue. It also added all my Photos (JPG) without an issue. But for some reason it will not add my movie files which are all in AVI or ...
