Re: Installing Twonky on SSD

You start twonky using the -appdata switch and point it to a folder not on your SSD. Search the forum for -appdata and you'll find plenty of posts about it.

Re: detection of a network HDD by Twonky Server

Try linking to the HDD on the Sharing page by its network address but make sure you use the IP address in the Content Locations box not the domain i.e. use \\192.168.2.123\my_hdd instead of \\wd_TV_network_name\my_hdd - that works for me. The IP address will be that for your WD TV Live and the HDD s...

Re: Twonky v6 keeps "forgetting" settings

No, it's because your installation has put the ini file into a folder that gets deleted each time the NAS restarts - often the /var folder.

Re: DNS-323 & Multiple Volumes

From a web page put in http:\\<<ip-of-your-nas:port>>\rpc\get_option?contentbase and check that it is using /mnt as the contentbase.

In fact, post the results of http:\\<<ip-of-your-nas:port>>\rpc\get_option?contentbase and http:\\<<ip-of-your-nas:port>>\rpc\get_option?contentdir.

In Twonky's defence it only sorts this way for the Folder view and not in Album view.

Re: Incorrect sort order

I have had a look at your images and don't think there is anything that can be done from a config point of view to get this to work for you. It would need Twonky to change the way they sort based on the language chosen. At present there is no Polish selection for TMS but I know from other posts that...

Re: DNS-323 & Multiple Volumes

In contentdir you put the folder path below the contentbase. So if I had contentbase of /mnt/Disk1 and contentdir of Music and wanted to change the contentbase to /mnt then I would change the contentdir to Disk1/Music. Change contentbase in the ini file then browse to the correct folder(s) from the ...

Re: DNS-323 & Multiple Volumes

On the sharing config page you can set multiple folders for Twonky to look in for media files but they have to be under the same base directory. I have a single disk Linkstation Pro and it is set to use /mnt/Disk1 as the content base, but if I had 2 drives I could set the content base to /mnt so it ...

Re: Twonky 6.0.32 on Buffalo TeraStation pro HTGL

I thought this would be your next problem but didn't mention it earlier as you have a C series TV and mine is a B series so it may have been different.

My Samsung TV cannot play Internet Radio streams but that is a limitation of the TV not Twonky. My PS3 is the same.

Re: Twonky v6 and v5 on 2 different servers

Share your network drives using their URL addresses not the mapped drives such as

\\192.168.2.100\Films2 and \\192.168.2.101\Films3

Use the IP addresses not the host names.

Re: Incorrect sort order

Can you give examples of filenames that are out of order? As with your earlier post, this is probabaly just a result of how computers naturally sort things. Every character has an equivalent number in the ASCII (or extended) character set and the sorting is done based on that which is why your natio...
