Re: Sony Bravia TV as client with TWONKY server version 5.1.3
Hi Torsten, I described the same bug in the following forum: http://www.twonkyforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=7563 It was confirmed by other Sony TV users as well but seems like Twonky team is not very interesting in fixing it :( Workaround is to change sort option for the folder on TV side as I desc...

TMS 5.1.2 and broken navigation tree on Sony Bravia TV
Hello, There is an issue with TMS 5.1.2 enhanced navigation tree for Sony Bravia TVs (when dlna client is Sony Bravia, TMS enables navigation tree that is better integrated with XMB menu on Sony TVs - this is new in 5.x, was not present in 4.x). The problem is that when you are navigating through eg...

Re: DLNA Streaming pictures to Sony Bravia TV - slow speed
Hello, Maybe you can try to check and enable jpeg rescaling feature on Twonky media server if not done already (but I think it is by default turned on for PC version of TMS and disabled by default for NAS builds only). You can also try to watch your pictures in "presentation mode" on TV (Options -> ...

Re: dns-323 and a LOT of twonky processess
Hi, You can't use just default installation on DNS-323, but you should: 1.) install TMS by setup program but disable automatic start option after installation (this option is available on setup program screen) 2.) logon to DNS-323 via telnet/ssh and modify twonky startup script /mnt/HD_a2/starttwonk...

Re: Streaming from my WHS to a DLNA-compliant Sony XBR9 TV
Hi Ahuga, Did you try to change sort option for files in menu on Bravia TV when you are browsing Video folders (and when you see photos instead videos)? I can reproduce this error anytime by changing "sort by" options -> list of folder/files is sorted/rebuilt and I can see photos instead of videos.....

Re: Sony Bravia TVs and Twonky on NAS not working together
What TMS version your NAS comes with? This "mp3 stops playing after xx seconds on Siny Bravia problem" is a known bug is some older 4.4 releases. If you have older 4.4.x release I suggest to upgrade 4.4.17 or 4.4.18 - mp3 playback works ok on these (tested on both, currently I'm running the latest 4...

Re: Sony Bravia TVs and Twonky on NAS not working together
Anyone figured this out? I just bought a Bravia 32W5500 and I'm experiencing the same prob. I have a Western Digital NAS harddrive using Twonkey - and playback stops on the tv after so-and-so number of seconds. My problem is concerning mp3's - haven't bothered with video playback yet. It's driving ...

Re: What to RIP DVDs to?
Hello,
I suggest you to rip DVDs to MPEG-PS format (compatible with Sony PS3 or Sony Bravia TV).
If you also prefer Linux, I use and recommend the following tool:

Best regards
Frantisek

Re: Noob Questin: Content Pull from DLNA TV
Thanks for the info. I will definitely check out the Samsung TV as it wil probably be a lot cheaper than the sony. Does anyone have an answer on the "content pull" side of my original question, or can you only push content from the laptop running TwonkyMedia Server? Regards Wassy Sure, if I underst...

Re: Bravia TVs
Hi Phil,
m2ts streaming to Sony Bravia is working perfectly fine with TMS 4.4.18 (or 17). But I'm not able to stream exactly the same files after upgrade to TMS 5.1. I had to downgrade back to 4.4.18 to be able to see my avchd videos from Canon HD camcorder .

Re: TMS 5.1 Feedback thread
Today, I successfully installed TMS 5.1 on my Dlink NAS DNS-232. My music/video/photo collection was re-scaned successfully in 5-10 minutes with no performance issues. I was happy :-) Unfortunatelly I found out that browsing my *.m2ts video files saved from my HD camcorder is not possible with TMS 5...
