TMS Big Video Files
Got some h.264 video file with dd audio stream in a TS container. The "time-skip/fast forward" with my Samsung TV L32B679 does only work with smaller of those video files. For example a 4GB file in this format can be handled well. A 14GB file in exactly the same format can NOT be "time skipped/fast ...

Re: TMS 6.0.0 - bugs and comments
Final 6.0 has still the bug that there are no album arts from "folder.jpg" files in the webinterface (HTML or FLASH) or my Phillips NP2500!
This worked fine on 5.1.2 - the latest stable version for me.

Re: Autostart in ubuntu 9.10
Just a forum over is this thread that provides your answers. Nice thread, but why still using the "old" Twonky installer with SysV Init on a modern system like Ubuntu 9.10 or higher? Forget the mentioned thread and install like that (even less work): Download manual install Twonky zip Extract it in...

Re: Autostart in ubuntu 9.10
Why, .... of course not. Do you know what Upstart is?fboecom wrote:I think upstart only works when you have logged in - no good. Should be a system service auto start.
It is much better then SysV init, and of course it start TMS automatically as you can see in the example Upstart twonky.conf above.

I had no luck with 5.1.1, but 5.1.2 seems to work very well. Even the inotify scan is working now.

Re: TMS 5.1.1
Nice to see that i am not the only one with this problem. BTW Rescan on 5.0.68 has the problem with do nothing after about 1-2 days running on my Ubuntu 9.10 I already told this in another thread - and the solution was to use 5.1.1 -> LOL - I would really like use it, if it wont have the bug with th...

My statement means that due to the facts it is extremely unlikely that the files are corrupt

The new TMS version never finshes the scan job. If it has finished scanning one share, it seems to reset the results and start over with 0, it does this again and again ... like an infinity loop What is this??????????????? Re: Autostart in ubuntu 9.10
Forget about SysV Init scripts. Since Ubuntu 9.10 we can use (thank god) Upstart. So create a Upstart config file for twonky: /etc/init/twonky.conf with the following in it (modifiy path to twonkymedia): # Start Twonky start on runlevel 2 stop on runlevel 0 stop on runlevel 1 stop on runlevel 6 resp...

No more Rescan after a while running TMS
Whatever rescan value i use, TMS only rescan let's say in the first to days after a complete restart, then not more. Especially when i use value -1. If TMS had a fresh restart i can watch the numbers of movies or music change in the status page of TMS but only as i said for one or two days, then TMS...

TMS on Ubuntu 9.10 with Upstart
I would like to run TMS with Upstart on Ubuntu 9.10. The problem is that running the app "twonkymedia" is not possible in foreground, but Upstart needs this to controll the start/stop/restart/status of the programm which it should handle. I know about the paramenter -D but with or without it, it alw...
