Re: New Twonky Web site
this tends to turn off topic ("New .. Web site"), but as long there is no official WHS topic ... ;) there will be no special ( =with whs console addin) tms6 version! so one has to use the regular win version and install it according to the still to be published tutorial. i followed the document publ...

Re: New Twonky Web site
yup, nice site. i guess we have to wait a little for links to (unsupported?) tms6 whs-install files. hopefully not to long :? one thing i find misguiding is the graph next to the product overview. it does not enlighten me a bit. is the "laptop" the server? why not a pc, server or nas (or something m...

Re: 5.1.whatever for WHS...When is this app going to get love?
about wanted features... transcoding, streaming of relayed webradios, better support for specific clients (samsung tv with mkv)... these would be nice to have, not just for whs owners  well, it looks like i got lucky: - 5.1.4 for whs is out (mentions mkv for samsung). - transcoding: i install...

Re: 5.1.whatever for WHS...When is this app going to get love?
well, as a user of twonky 5.1.2 on a whs i have to agree that my system is listed under "beta/unsupported". it is running ok, but i would like to see some more support (what about 5.1.3 for whs, or the announced 5.1.4?) or at least more feedback about the progress. If i would know of any problems ca...

Re: Transcoding Documentation?
well, i second that request.
at least i would love to hear from people with success in transcoding, esp. on a windows system.
for me on my windows / whs setup there is no ffmpeg info file to config ..

Re: TwonkyMediaServer 5.1.2 - WHS - Virus????
norton is a bit conservative / paranoic. as it is mainly for the inexperienced user it is overcautious, often blocking downloads if not known to norton or other users (i think norton calls this "sonar" technology) and in any way suspicious (all networking apps are..).

Best codec for Samsung TV - any recommendations?
I´m running TMS 5.1 on my Windows Homeserver connectes to a Samsung B650 TV. DNLA is running ok but not perfect with all vieos of mine. Aspect ratio is no problem due to Samygo fix. So i wonder how to (re)encode my collection for best playback (incl. ffw/ pause) on my TV. I got many DVD rips (vob) ...

Re: Twonky 5.1 WHS Console unusable - DEAD
i cant complain either. twonky take some time at start to do the indexing, but then its fine.
my intial problems (even before twonky) with a unresponsive whs console dissapeared after upgrading the cpu.
maybe an atom is a bit weak?

Re: Twonky media on WHS configuration page restricted.
under normal conditions the config page is only accessable locally (e.g. the computer where it is installed). if using the whs console from aclient, the link :9000 is openend on the client computer, hence blocked. you could either use remote desktop to open the link directly on the homeserver or cha...
