Re: New Twonky Web site
We've decided to move away from dedicated TwonkyServer builds for WHS starting with TwonkyServer 6.0. In a few days we'll be posting detailed instructions telling all of you how to install the regular version of TwonkyServer on your NAS. Of course, we'll continue to support HP on their MediaSmart s...

Re: TwonkyMedia Server 5.1.4RC1 Xvid fast forward and rewind
I have a Samsung TV and have the same problem with any video over 1 hr 48 mins - apparently it's a Samsung thing. Unfortunately.

Re: 5.1.whatever for WHS...When is this app going to get love?
Actually you can ignore my post above - was trying to install the old version! 5.1.4 seems to have installed fine. One thing though - earlier, I just doubled clicked on the .msi, just out of curiosity, and the media feeds appeared on my TV. I then uninstalled that and installed the add-in properly u...

Just tried that 5.1.4 but it still shows as 5.1.2 on the server status page.

Rick, the TMM Product Manager, mentioned a few weeks ago that WHS was skipping 5.1.3 but would have a 5.1.4, whenever that gets released. Mind you he said that a few weeks ago here:

Re: Video Thumbnails or Video Cover Art
The folder.jpg thing doesn't work for me with 5.1.2 WHS. Could be the TV of course (Samsung UN46B7100).
But there doesn't seem to be ANY way to get video thumbnails. And I can't convert my videos (AVIs) to mp4 as I'd lose the surround sound.
I guess there's no solution here.

Video Thumbnails for AVIs
Just wondering if it's possible to display/create thumbnails for my hundreds of AVIs. I certainly don't want to create sub-folders for all the videos as on my playback TV (a Samsung UN46B7100) the navigation process is pretty painful already!
BTW I use Twonky Server for WHS.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Connected Home/DLNA Best Practices (Updated July 2009)
Sorry, I've also posted this in a separate thread, but I've found that with my setup (TMS 5.5.1 WHS add-in + Samsung UN46B7100 + Acer EasyStore AH340), play/pause works fine, but FFWD/REWIND only works on videos less than 1hr 48 mins in length. All my movies are DiVX, encoded using the DiVX 7 Conve...

TMS 5.1.1 WHS + Samsung UN46B7100
Hi I'm using the above and have noticed that I can only FFWD/Rewind (I really mean jump forwards & backwards) if the movie is less than 1hr 49mins. Is this a known issue with either TMS or the TV? Also, I have to rebuild the database almost every time I add a set of movies to the server. Cheers Warren
