I've had that a couple of times with the WD Live. It seems to be an issue with the WD, not Twonky. If I reboot the WD unit (just power on/off with the remote), then it's fine.
It'll sometimes not play the audio track through Netflix as well, and requires a reboot.

Re: Connection to server breaks every 30 minutes
When you click on the server status tab, is your cache ungodly huge? Only time I get stuttering/drops is when the cache is spiraling out of control so the PC is bogging down.
Clicking on the "server restart" button resets it and fixes the problem.

I'm still having a memory leak version on this version as well. Is anyone else having it? I did make some customs views, and I'm wondering if that's tha cause? I have seen this and reported it to Christian Gran. It doesn't seem to happen all of the time for me. I just sent Christian 'Wires' details...

Re: TwonkyServer 6.0.37 is Now Available for Download!
Sorry, forgot to mention that. It's running on Windows Server 2008 x64. It's not a huge runaway leak like some previous versions, but same as 6.0.36 anways. My cache is typically 36MB. It sometimes stays like that for a while, then it will just grow tp 170MB. I typically hit "server restart" and the...

ETA on new version
Just wondering if there is a projected ETA on the new version. I'm having serious issues with the memory leak in the 6.0.32 version.
Also, when the server is restarted, it'll forgot the view settings assigned to each media receiver, and fall back to the default (this has been there forever).

Re: 6.01 Not Parsing iTunes Playlists Correctly
It seems upgrading to 6.0.30 has killed my itunes playlists again. I even tried my tip above (deleting all things Twonky and rebooting). But nada. Tried rolling back to 6.0.28, and same crap. I have playlists, lists the song quantity, the wpl's are listing fine, but no songs in the the playlists via...

Are you using a router connected to the internet? If so, you'll need to forward that port through. It sounds like the router firewall is rejecting it. As a quick test, I'd turn off the firewall in the router, and see if it works (keep in mind that you have no protection from the WAN at this time, so...

Ok, did a little experiment. Uninstalled Twonky, searched the drive for anything twonky related, and deleted it. Re: 6.01 Not Parsing iTunes Playlists Correctly
Here is a copy of one of my itunes playlists. As you can see, the path is all correct. I can copy paste that path into Windows Media Player or a browser window, and it plays. But when I go to Twonky, the On-The-Go 3 playlist says "1" item, but it's blank..... If I copy/paste M:\Music\Shinedown\Us an...

I'm running this on windows, so I went and looked for the WPL files you indicated. I found the reason I had some playlists, was I had made a bunch...

You're going to need to turn on port forwarding in your router to do this. From the internet, you'll need to do: http://abc.dyndn.org:1234 the 1234 is an arbitrary port you can select. In your router, you'll need to forward port 1234 to 192.168.1.2 (usually found in the application and gaming sectio...

Re: 6.01 Not Parsing iTunes Playlists Correctly
I've had this issue since 5.x.x.
Oddly though, some of my playlists work, some do not. I don't know why it's being selective.
Twonky is showing the proper number of music files in each playlist, but the ones that don't work come up blank.

I'm still getting the cache size growing in 6.0.28. It's not as bad/frequent as 6.0.23 but it still happens.
FYI, on WS2008 x64, I need to install without a serial number, reboot, and then put in the number, or Twonky won't start after a reboot.

For the PC transcoding, if I turn on the video transcoding, does it do it for all video formats, or just the ones that the client cannot process natively. IE: If I turn on MP4 transcoding, and I'm streaming an AVI file to a PS3 (which accepts AVI), will Twonky still transcode it to MP4 first, or jus...

Hmmm... I haven't did a database refresh or changed added/removed files for almost a day, and it's fine.
Before I was adding a file, removing and refreshing, and memory usage started to grow exponentially.
I think it's something with the "rescan directory contents"

There appears to be a memory leak in this version. On a reboot, it would rebuild the database. My cache is 100MB. 19 hours later it was up to 380MB. I had it running for 4 days, and it was at 1800MB! I noticed when I access it from the web interface, it takes a while to connect, that's what tipped m...

I've never had a F/W update problem on mine. I have a AVR-4308 and it's great. The flexibility in the install is amazing. Only negative point I have is the network audio interface. I think it may be because my itunes library/playlists are mapped to a network drive. Currently I have: WS2008 running...
