Update:
I found that it due to Twonky requiring the folder paths to be in the UNC format. It has now found my files and is populating the database correctly.

Twonky 6.0.28 not seeing network folders?
I'm currently trialling the PC version of Twonky 6.0.28. I have my NAS folders mapped as my M: drive to the qmultimedia folder on my QNAP 209, and Twonky initially let me set this up as M:\Music, M:\Photos and M:\Videos. However, no matter how many times I rescan the content directories or rebuild t...

Re: Looking for a NAS with Twonky Preinstalled to stream to PS3
My 209 used to stream 1080 content without issue, so it's not the QNAP unit.edrikk wrote:I would recommend you spend your money on one of the new Intel Atom based QNap devices... You won't be disappointed.

Re: Music files in folders via PS3/Twonky appear in alphabetical
Great i found the file, but must telnet in to the QNAP device..and use vi editor to modify which i have no clue how to use :/ any suggestions? I would suggest using version 4.4.17 until they have fixed the bugs in the latest 6.x version. You can install this using the QPKG. I had the same issue as ...

Re: Looking for a NAS with Twonky Preinstalled to stream to PS3
It's a slim with the latest firmware. I have some D-Link homeplugs but I don't get more than about 20yards on my home wiring before they start dropping out. My PS3 and Server are connected via 100Mbit ethernet via a Netgear DG834N router. How do you recode your 1080p mkv files? I can stream 1080p w...

That's interesting. Are you using a wired or POE homeplug connection? Also, what ps3 fw are you using? Is it the old fat or new slim type?

Re: Looking for a NAS with Twonky Preinstalled to stream to PS3
I would bear in mind that there is an issue with the PS3's streaming capability when dealing with 1080p HD content. 720p and DVDs ripped to VOB work fine, but this issue is caused by one of the fairly recent firmware updates to the PS3.

Re: PS3 MP4 Stutter
This issue is more to do with a firmware update of the PS3 that broke the streaming ability of 1080 content. You will probably find that it will stream 720 stuff fine, but not 1080. I am using Twonky 4.4.17 on a QNAP TS209 Pro II NAS and it still stutters. My Xbox 360 streams 1080 .wmv files perfect...

Re: Playback on PS3 skips/ stutters
I have narrowed this problem down to only occurring with with 1080 content, as I can stream 720p stuff without issue. I can also stream 1080 content to my 360 without any issue, so this problem is somehow to do with how the PS3 streams HD content over a network, as it plays 1080 stuff when playing f...

Re: Playback on PS3 skips/ stutters
My setup has developed this problem in the last couple of months. I think I have narrowed it down to either an issue with one of the recent fw updates on the PS3, or a problem with the encoding - I use MKV2VOB. I run a QNAP TS 209 PRO II NAS, with a Linksys WRT610N gigabit router wired through Devol...
