Re: Twonkyserver stops playing EVERY HD-Video after 20-50 min
Well, Thecus does support twonkyserver, but only one version - I think 5.xx. And of course, if you have a problem, Thecus will sent you to twonky and vice versa :( Transcoding the video´s means having at least one high-perfomance PC ;-) I can avoid this problem using twonky for general videos and u...

Re: Twonkyserver stops playing EVERY HD-Video after 20-50 min
O.k., thanks for your help so far.
Twonky support is not very customer-friendly: running twonky on a NAS == NO SUPPORT
Unfortunately my devices do not play mkv files
Have a nice time and a Happy New Year,
Martin

Re: Twonkyserver stops playing EVERY HD-Video after 20-50 min
Hi, thanks for your reply. Definitely neither, nor! 1) The NAS filesystem is XFS, which has a size limit of 8 exabytes ;-) 2) The videos play just fine -and the whole lenght- with other mediaserver (Kiss PC-Link). Perhaps, twonkyserver has a problem with files over 4GB in .ts-format ? kind regards, ...

Re: Twonkyserver stops playing EVERY HD-Video after 20-50 min
I don`t think, that logging will give me any new information. A video with e.g. 100 min playing time is shown as video with e.g. only 40 min playing time by the twonky server, so there is no unexpectedly interrupt or something else. I did some testing with changing the device in the twonky server, b...

Twonkyserver stops playing EVERY HD-Video after 20-50 min
Hi, I´m using twonkyserver 6.0.1 (newer versions list only some, but not all videos ?!) with a Thecus NAS and a Kiss 1600 media player. I´ve got some HD videos (H.264/AC3) in .ts Format with a size of 4-13 GB and a resolution of 720p,1080i, 1080p each video. Twonky and my mediaplayer just play thi...

Re: Very poor quality of JPEG pictures
Hi Stephan, problem solved! I had to reset the client list to let twonky scan for clients and as result, twonky shows my Kiss player as 'Netgear EVA 2000' player. But also 'Generic Player' shows pictures in good quality. Give it a try and change your twonky client player name from the client list. G...

Re: Very poor quality of JPEG pictures
Hi Stephan, till now, no solution :-( The answer from twonky support also frustrating: "The NAS builds of TwonkyMedia server are provided "as is" for advanced users who wish to install them at their own risk. We do not provide technical support for these versions." Perhaps I will install the twonky ...

Very poor quality of JPEG pictures
Hi, I´m using the server v6 on a NAS Thecus N7700 with a Linksys Kiss 1600 Client and a Sony KDL-37W550 TV. Video and audio are just fine, but JPEG´s are shown with a very very poor quality (resolution of 80x80 I guess) :( I´ve already added the parameter XM:NOTRPICS to the Kiss section of client...
