Interesting, and very helpful reply!
So where do I get information on transcoding? Looks like I would need to tell the server to change from .MOV format to .MPG format. Is this done from within Twonky?

Re: Supported Streaming Formats
PB asks "what media player are you trying to play the .MOV files on". I have .MPG movies (from a snapshot camera that also does short movies) and some .MOV movies (from a Kodak HD pocket camcorder). Twonky 5.0.56 on my HP EX485 MediaSmart server plays the .MPG movies just fine on my Samsung BD-6500 ...

Re: Supported Streaming Formats
The original post shows the formats supported by Twonky, but doesn't say what version of Twonky. It says that .MOV files are supported, but Twonky 5.0.56 on my HP EX485 says "unsupported file format". The last version of a Twonky add-in for the EX485 is version 5.1.6. Anybody know if this version su...

What actually decodes the video files?
I'm running Twonky 5.0.56 on an HP EX485. Works fine streaming .MPG videos but says it can't stream .MOV files. QUESTION: Does Twonky actually decode and stream the video file to my DLNA device? Or does it use "other" software to decode the file and then it just sends "video" to the DLNA device? I g...

Twonky 5.1.6
Can anybody point me to documentation that will answer the following questions? I have searched the Twonky site but haven't discovered anything. Or maybe somebody who is already using 5.1.6 might know? - Does Twonky 5.1.6 support .MOV and .AVI file formats? - Is Twonky 5.1.6 supported as an add-in t...

Twonky 5.1.6 on HP EX470 and EX485
Two questions: Question 1: I have an HP EX485 (running WHS 2.5, not the newer 3.0) which came with Twonky. Not sure which version (and I'm not at home so can't check), but it doesn't support .MOV files. Does Twonky 5.1.6 support .MOV files? And does 5.1.6 work as a direct "add-in" on my EX485, and w...
