Re: Are You Happy With Your Philips Hardware?
So you need a good DAC to make your philips sound good. The Squeezebox has a fairly good DAC inside. I got rid of my sla5520 because of the very poor soundquality. I listened to the NP1100 over my own stereo, but that was just a small improvement over the sla5520. I agree that it is a downside of th...

Re: Please recommend a NAS for TwonkyMedia
Conceptronic CH3SNAS. Is cheap but quite powerful, has 2 bays, low power consumption. Is the same as the DNS323. There is a twonky installer which makes it very easy to install twonky on it. Is also very easy to tweak and run all kinds of other programs on it without any permanent hacking. For more ...

Re: Logitech Squeezebox Duet
No it is not. And that's a pity because the Squeezebox (Classic and Duet) gives a very good sound quality. An enormous improvement over the Noxon, Philips Streamium and Roku devices. But unfortunately the Squeezebox needs a own server called slimserver or the latest version called squeezecenter. Thi...

Re: Are You Happy With You Philips Hardware?
I agree with the previous poster. I use a SL300i and a SLA5520, both work ok. But support is non-excisting and the internet radio/favorites section is difficult to setup and use. Recently i bought a Squeezebox to replace the SLA5520. Although the SLA5520 worked ok, the soundquality of the Squeezebox...

upnp player on different network
On my NAS (Conceptronic CH3SNAS) runs the Twonky server. The nas is located on network A, i can stream music to a upnp player located also on network A. But is it also possible to stream to a upnp player which is located on network B? And if yes, how do I achieve this?

Re: How can you receive the STREAM in Vista?
Hi. Followed the directions. I can get to the remote Twonky media server via the web and can browse folders. However, when I click the song, it tries to copy the file instead of STEAMING the music to my Vista laptop. Any ideas of how I get the file to STREAM the music to me instead of getting a cop...

Re: DirecTV HR20 & NAS w/Twonky; Recommendation ?
I have a DirecTV HD DVR HR20 and I know thru their Forum (DBSTalk.com) that I can install Twonky on my WinXP PC and serve music & photos to the HR20. I've been told I need to LPCM add-on to transcode the music since HR20 only support LPCM format for audio. Anyway, I don't want my PC booted all the ...
