No, sorry.
I decided not to buy TwonkeyServer but instead WD TV Live. It's only 80 EUR and you have much less pain! Really great! I really can recommend this device. DLNA really sucks (especially for large collections)

Re: Understanding and debugging Transcoding
Another question related to this: As I said I tried JPEG transcoding yesterday. But I could not find any convert processes. Today morning I saw that my server has been crashed. I found out that the reason was that the system drive was full. Twonky had about 30GB "cache" in /var/twonkyserver. There w...

Re: Preserving the database after restarting Twonky
OK If you insist that it is rebuilding (rather than just rescanning) the database try these tests- Yes, you are right. I tried it. But it does not become better: For testing, I deleted /var/twonkymedia. The result was a rebuild . I took about 1:30 hours !!! When I just restart Twonky, it is a resca...

Understanding and debugging Transcoding
Hi, I played around with transcoding in TwonkyServer and for the first time it clearly does not work. I have no clue how I can do debugging since I do not know what is exactly done when recoding. I tried JPEG, MPEG (ffmpeg) and Audio. For the first one: I checked [x] JPEG and have ImageMagick instal...

Re: Running as non-root
Hi, If this would be the case then there would be no need for UIDs != 0 and we're back to Windows 9x. For example, Twonky could have a security flaw which can be used by other malware on the same server/network in order to gain root privileges. Maybe I will just try to run as non-privileged user. I ...

Re: Preserving the database after restarting Twonky
Hi, It is a full-fledged Debian squeeze on a 4 core Xeon with 3.4 Ghz, 8GB RAM and a 2TB media disk. I just tell you what I observe: When I restart TwonkyServer: ./twonkymedia.sh stop ./twonkymedia.sh start I go into /config -> Server status I get Last database change: In Progress... [+/media/data/F...

Re: Preserving the database after restarting Twonky
Hi, Thanks for your reply. I do not fully understand you - what do you mean by rebuild and rescan? The main problem is that the server can not be (fully) used until the disk-scan has finished. I measured now: It takes exactly 30 minutes (!) on a very powerful server system: Dual Xeon with two cores ...

Preserving the database after restarting Twonky
Hi, Is it really true that Twonky rebuilds its database everytime it is restarted?? This can't be the case - it takes up to one hour to scan the disk. Is there an option to preserve the database? Or even better: Diable the database completely? I only use the directory listing so I do not need any da...
