TMS 6.0.34 does not display *ANY* Folder.jpg's
I've just had to reinstall my Qnap TS-109II from scratch, and restore all my data from a backup. Now TMS 6.0.34 does not display any of my Folder.jpg's. What are the files' permissions supposed to be? Currently I have (just one example): -rwxrw-rw- 1 sto everyone 23939 Mar 15 2010 Folder.jpg

Missing twonkymedia.gif
While reinstalling 6.0.34 on my Qnap TS-109II I noticed that in some webpages a "picture placeholder" icon is displayed... because the file twonkymedia.gif is missing from the resources. I've tried extracting it from one of the 6.0.34 downloads at http://www.twonkyforum.com/downloads/6.0.34/ but it'...

Sony BDP-S580 Blu-Ray player hangs after last video for date
Hi folks, I'm playing the videos created with my Sony HDR-SR11E HD camcorder and stored on my QNAP TS-109II NAS running TwonkyServer 6.0.34 on my Sony BDP-S580 blu-ray player. I browse the videos with a "by date" view and start playing all videos for a given date. After the last video for a given da...

Re: Fixing device recognition using DD in clients.db
What is the devicedescription-yamaha.xml supposed to be useful for? My guess is that it relates to older, very much pre-DLNA, Yamaha devices, and is not relevant to my receiver, which is DLNA 1.5 certified. Please keep us informed. If it has worked once then it should continue to work. Well I hope s...

It seems that: NA:Yamaha RX-V1067 HH:AV_Receiver/3.0 (RX-V1067) UPnP/1.0 DLNADOC/1.50 XM:DNLA15 AV:M DV:yamaha DB:FIX fits my bill. Re: Fixing device recognition using DD in clients.db
I hate to say, but this doesn't work. The receiver is still detected as "Generic Media Receiver" (I do see the "Yamaha RX-V1067" in the listbox, though). And I think I do need AV:M otherwise I will get the useless "Photos" and "Videos" menus, and have to navigate to "Music" first; with AV:M I get di...

Hi Rick, Thx for getting back to me... although this doesn't answer my question. My Yamaha RX-V1067 is automatically detected as a "Generic Media Receiver" using the default navigation tree which I have configured as "Advanced media view." Fixing device recognition using DD in clients.db
Hi, I have a Yamaha RX-V1067 receiver for which I have created a custom view. The problem is that TMS 6.0.34 (qpkg on a QNAP TS109II) keeps recognizing it incorrectly (as a "General Media Receiver" whereas the device only can play music, no pictures or videos) and doesn't remember my view choice for...

TMS 6.0.34 does not display *some* Folder.jpg's
I have upgraded TMS on my QNAP TS109II to 6.0.34, so it's the latest version, and I know since I discussed that here in another thread that the cover art files have to be called Folder.jpg with an uppercase 'F'. Still, in some folders, the Folder.jpg is not displayed (in the Twonkymedia browser) / s...

Re: TMS 6.0.30 does not display cover art from folder.jpg

Other users might be interested in the following PowerShell script I used to automate the renaming proce...

Re: TMS 6.0.30 does not display cover art from folder.jpg
Well (with my professional developer hat one) I definitely don't think this was a wise move. True, my NAS, as many others, is Linux-based, but it is, as the NAS concept implies, a server, to which only Windows clients are hooked. And I expect that this is the most frequent situation at customers. Wi...

Hi Rick, Thx for getting back to me. Indeed, in the media browser I also get the placeholder bitmap. How do I send you the files? Please go to the TwonkyServer media browser and see if album art appears there. If it doesn't I may ask you to send me a sample folder for testing purposes. All I need is...

TMS 6.0.30 does not display cover art from folder.jpg
Hi, I'm running 6.0.30 on QNAP TS-109II (qpkg distribution). On my Yamaha RXV-1067 AV receiver, the cover art (I have a folder.jpg in every folder) is no longer displayed (used to work with 4.4.17), except for very few folders. For most folders I get a "placeholder" picture (grey square with music n...

Re: TMS 6.0.30 on QNAP TS-109II dies when caching pictures
Hi Rick, You obviously got me wrong. Now that I have removed these 66 files, TMS doesn't die anymore. It has been running for almost 24 hours now, I have played a number of songs, without any problem. Next step is probably to move back some files (one directory at a time, maybe) until it crashes aga...

Re: TMS 6.0.30 on QNAP TS-109II dies when caching pictures
I'm kinda surprised that you consider my problem and your repro the same thing. My current situation is that with any of 4.x, 5.1.6 and 6.0.30, I get the same thing: the server dies after some point. So either some information is corrupted that does not get re-created when the database is rebuilt (i...

Re: TMS 6.0.30 on QNAP TS-109II dies when caching pictures
I've reverted to the QNAP-supplied TMS 5.1.6
It dies after some time the exact same way (I did rebuild the database from scratch).
Is there anything you'd suggest?
Want to look at the new (5.1.6) logfile?
Best regards,
Stéphane.

Hi, Thx for the attempt to create instructions, but that's not what I need. I have tried the little-endian ARM glibc binaries but they don't start up......

TMS 6.0.30 on QNAP TS-109II dies when caching pictures
I've just purchased a DNLA-compliant Sony BDP-S580 blu-ray player so I wanted to try serving my pictures. I'm running the qpkg build of TMS 6.0.30. When my picture folder is shared, TMS dies after some time with the following message on the console where I have started it from: *** glibc detected **...
