Done.
Thanks phibertron. I hoped that you read it and have some hints.

Re: New Feature Requests
Add the ability to create additional media types. E.g. audiobooks need completely different NAV trees (e.g.author instead of artist), details (e.g. description) and functions (e.g. stikt order, never shuffle) compared to music albums. Also the genre type are very different (e.g. 'EasyListening' make...

MKV Tags & Cover - nothing appears in Twonky
I am using Twonky for MP3s since long time and also created NAV-trees for release 6&7 (thanks to phibertron). Now I want to run a Twoky instance for my MKVs but I cannot get any TAGs in Twonky Server and also the cover is not shown in a client. The only info is the title, size & duration - the date ...

Re: "An instance of the server is already running" error
May be you should only describe the problem (one sentence) and ask them to reset the license.bruce73 wrote:... I explained the problem AND my workaround.....
I know, they can do it - it happened because you had the same license installed on Vista.
Good luck

Re: "An instance of the server is already running" error
@bruce73
had the same issue after playing around with multiple installations.
I wrote to Twonky support (support@twonky.com) and they reseted my license.
Describe the problem and include your license - otherwise you loose time because they will ask for it.

Re: How to Create Your Own Custom Navigation Trees
Hi misi, you should have a look to the posts from phibertron who described some ways how to do that. Nevertheless these are working around a major issue with Twonky. It really would be nice to have the possibility to use custom IDs - or at least sub IDs. Many people seem to have the problem that the...

Re: Linux mediaserver.pid v.s. multiple instances
hi phibertron - the brilliant creator of my favorite threads here !! Yes, of course I read that and actually that was - beside your other ideas about views - the reason why I started to dig into Twonky a bit deeper. In your thread there is one mention about Linux but no hint about the PID files (if ...

Linux mediaserver.pid v.s. multiple instances
I set up two instances of TwonkyMediaServer - one ist started without instance parameter, the other one is started with -instance 1. When I start either instance a mediaserver.pid is created in /var/run. The problem is, when I start the other instance via the shell script, it finds the PID file and ...

Navtree differenciate different types of same media
@phibertron First a big thanks for your work - really helpfull. :!: I found some approaches for my main problem - to have seperate root selections for music and audio books (both mp3). Some experiments with folders looked promising, but finally do not exactly what I want. The goal is to have them st...

Re: How to Create Your Own Custom Navigation Trees
Hi, I am currently running TwonkyServer 6.0.34 on my FritzBox (twonkymedia-mipseb-uclibc-0.9.28-6.0.34). I have two classes of MP3s - Music and Audio Books So I don't want my Audio Books appear under a section Music. I tried several view changes and run into two problems. 1. When I add the following...
