New router; Twonky no longer appears on SONY Bravia TV
I've been using Twonky Server (7) to watch video files from my PC via Ethernet, on my SONY Bravia TV, either directly or via the attached SONY BluRay player. This has worked perfectly for years but now, neither the TV nor the BluRay Player show the Twonky symbol/application. The one significant chan...

Re: None of my videos are found
Thanks for a most informative reply! I didn't check the ini before finding the cause of the problem, but the web interface was showing my chosen directories. I did a "Reset to Defaults" and entered my directories again. This changed the symptoms; the TV no longer reported "File not found", but it hu...

None of my videos are found
Suddenly, Twonky 7.0.5 cannot play any of my videos; it just says "File could not be found". I've traced the cause for this to the following entries in the log: 07/19/12 19:49:30:406 [Trace] - LOG_HTTP: HTTP_send_receive : next locate handler for the request (type 2=HEAD) 07/19/12 19:49:30:406 [Info...

Re: Why does one file get "[*]" appended
Well, as the originator of this thread (IIRC) I have to admit that my [*]s seem to have disappeared. Neither my PC nor my TV have changed over this period, but instead of connecting my TV via a Wireless Access Point(WAP), I now connect it via a 10m CAT5 cable and a cheap 5-port switch. So, perhaps i...

Re: Why does one file get "[*]" appended
Time to start liking the asterisks, by the sound of things. That was always the easy way out.phibertron wrote:You wont find it in there, if the rpc call doesnt see it, it is not a configurable option

This takes me to a page: PROPERTY NOT FOUND!
I'll find the ini file; perhaps there's no value set in there?

Re: Why does one file get "[*]" appended
Increasing the value of the configuration property ‘maxscantimeperfile’ may resolve the problem if indeed scan time is the issue. - Rick
This may very well be the answer for me. My files are on USB 2.0 ports, and the device itself is also relatively slow, and...

Re: I've purchased Twonky 7.0 Special - but where is the key
So far I've solicited one private reply. I'd love to answer that privately, but that facility doesn't seem to exist (for me, at least).
So, I'll respond in publlic: With gmail, that isn't a problem.

Thanks for the answer. I'll ignore the "*".
I didn't reply sooner, as I hadn't subscribed to my own post (now corrected, and fixed in future)

I've purchased Twonky 7.0 Special - but where is the key?
Having purchased Twonky 7 Special , I received an email with two attachments, and a PayPal order confirmation. Neither seem to contain a key. If I ask for the key to be re-sent to my email address, I'm told that my email address (steve.j.swift@gmail.com) is "invalid", yet I can see the product in my...

Why does one file get "[*]" appended
The file on my PC is 25032012008.mp4
In Twonky Server, and on my SONY TV, it appears as 25032012008[*]
What does the "[*]" suffix mean, please?
