Slightly different on my kirkwood NAS build.
Parameter is -port not -httpport (same applies for twokyproxy)
Also I'm not sure the entry in twonkyserver.ini is necessary as twonky seems to auto-detect the port being used (as shown in the status page of the web interface).

Re: Observations with multiple instances of Twonky Server 7
The twonky-powerpc-glibc-2.2.5-special-7.0.9 build is creating 2 folders in /tmp, /TwonkyServer and /twonkyserver the /twonkyserver folder is getting files for twonkyproxy and /TwonkyServer is getting the rest ofthe files On the kirkwood build the default appdata directory is /var/twonky/TwonkyServ...

Re: Observations with multiple instances of Twonky Server 7
Interesting stuff. I can confirm this behavior on twonky-kirkwood-special-7.0.9 with the following exceptions. All log files, by default, go in /tmp not the appdata directory. That's TwonkyServer-log.txt, proxy-log.txt and webdav-log.txt. Copies of (n)twonky-config.html and (n)twonky-config1.html ex...

Re: Replacement / Equivalent of twonkymedia command for v7.x
twonkyserver-default.ini is used to create twonkyserver.ini if it doesn't exist (usually the first time twonky is started). After that it isn't looked at again.archie1810 wrote:I've never thought that the twonkyserver-default.ini is not the ini file anymore to modify.

Re: Replacement / Equivalent of twonkymedia command for v7.x
It looks like your twonky folder is not in your PATH. This is normal. You need to put the "./" at the beginning.
Try:
cd /mnt/HD/HD_a2/ffp/opt/twonky
./twonkystarter -enableweb 2 -httpremoteport 9100
or
/mnt/HD/HD_a2/ffp/opt/twonky/twonkystarter -enableweb 2 -httpremoteport 9100
Try:
cd /mnt/HD/HD_a2/ffp/opt/twonky
./twonkystarter -enableweb 2 -httpremoteport 9100
or
/mnt/HD/HD_a2/ffp/opt/twonky/twonkystarter -enableweb 2 -httpremoteport 9100

Re: Replacement / Equivalent of twonkymedia command for v7.x
I don't know whether this will help you: # ./twonkyserver -? Twonky Version 7.0.9 usage: ./twonkyserver all params from the .ini file can be used as an option, preceded by a - e.g. ./twonkyserver -v 255 -inifile path and filename of ini file -inipath path to ini file -ininame filename of ini file Fo...

I don't see the purpose of running this command in background (&) when it is being daemonized (-D) ?
