I also had the same trouble with TMS 5.0.61, and find the way to recognize the videos from NAS.
The way is set the directory path not using drive letter but use network path such like "\\MyServer\Share\Movies\MyLibrary\".
Then I can watch the files from NAS.

At my PowerPC Mac, .ini file is placed as
