Re: WD MYcloud twonky update
Doing an update into the MyCloud from within Windows is not only possible, it's not an issue. You have to enable SSH from within the WD menu of the MyCloud, and then you use a Windows program like Putty (putty.exe) to log into the MyCloud's Linux system. I have done a number of updates without issue...

8.2.1 has New builds - What NAS Build is for what NAS
Hi; Looking down the NAS downloads list, in particular the latest list: http://www.twonkyforum.com/downloads/8.2.1/ I have had issues in the past defining exactly what builds are for which NAS. Can we get a list of what NAS builds are for which NAS? The latest list has new builds for - My Cloud - Ma...

Re: Which Twonky 8 build for WD MyCloud (single drive)
I'm starting to wonder if the culprit is the latest WD firmware update.
It recently updated to WD Firmware v04.04.02-105
Any ideas?
Will the next build take the new firmware into consideration?

Which Twonky 8 build for WD MyCloud (single drive)
I need clarification on which build is used for the WD MyCloud (single drive, 4tb) I have my MyCloud's updated to 7.2.9 with no issues. Using the same procedure to update to the 8.2 is failing so I figure I have the wrong build. Why failed? I don't know. For Twonky version 7 I was using <Linux ARM l...

Re: my cloud shares resetting twonky
Hi; I don't know if you ever resolved this, but, the resetting of the folders is being done by Western Digital, not by Twonky. it is resetting the folders on startup. It will constantly recreate \Shared Music, \Shared Videos, \Shared pictures. There was a way in the MyBook series to stop it from doi...

Re: Current Twonky version for WD My Book Live
Good you got it running. If you haven't found it, the "update thingy" is in the WD menu, not the Twonky menu (system - updates - uncheck auto update) I run my NAS' all with power saving turned off. So I have no real experience with them "waking up", they never spin down. Why? Not all dlna devices li...

Will Twonky 7 License work for Twonky 8 NAS?
Hi;
My Western Digital's - My Book and My Cloud NAS' are all running 7.2.8 and 7.2.9 respectively.
"If" I upgrade to Twonky 8, will my version 7 keys work, or do I need new keys?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Current Twonky version for WD My Book Live
Hi;
Oct 29 2015; I dont know if you ever resolved this. However, i upgraded my (2) 3tB My Book Live's upgraded to 7.2.8 with absolutely no issues. They run awesome.
I also have (4) 4tB My Cloud's upgraded running 7.2.9 with no issues.
I turn all my auto-updates off to avoid this exact problem.

Re: 7.3.RC4 for WD My Book Lve and WD My Cloud a full Releas
Phiberton; Where are we at with NAS releases? I bought 2 - 4tB WD MyCloud's and they come stock now with 7.2.8 They have been sitting on a 7.3RC a long time now and i haven't heard enough good about it to want to install. Does anyone know where the NAS releases are sitting or are they just stalled a...

7.3 RC4 release pulled?
Hi;
Is the NAS version (WD MyBook Live, WD My Cloud) of 7.3 RC4 pulled? The link is broken.
When will the next release of (7.3.something) become available?

Re: 7.3.RC4 for WD My Book Lve and WD My Cloud a full Releas
phiberton; Almost thought i lost you. The new board gave me nothing but grief.. for weeks... to get back into. If it's an official release candidate, good enough for me. I'd really like to build my own receiver folder menu structure (i think this release allows for that), and, are the 7.3 (pc) relea...

7.3.RC4 for WD My Book Lve and WD My Cloud a full Release?
Hi All;
Is 7.3.RC4 an official release for the NAS drives or are we waiting for something? Is this the version where we can finally created what a new folder structure so it appears on the receiver exactly where we want it to start?
