Running Twonyserver on Qnap TS-559 Pro II.
After some problems with logging in to my settings page I have things working again but when I use Twonky on my renderers the thumbnails are not showing, only a grey file with the title. Is there a switch I have missed or another problem?

I tried to enable the Multi User page and set password for admin so that only guests could use this. Re: Twonky does not see/serve .m4a files [SOLVED]
In short, my mistake. BBC tagging uses tags not used by me so I didn't look in right place. Problem solved and Twonky is working well.

Twonky does not see/serve .m4a files
Hi, Recent BBC radio broadcast downloads have been appearing as .m4a files. As usual I have been transferring them to my NAS (Qnap TS219 Pro II) which is running QPKG version of Twonky 6.0.39. Unfortunately Twonky does not appear to see or serve these files. I thought it was a tagging problem but al...

Re: How Can I Add Directories to Server Menu
Hi and thanks for that. It does explain why I have a problem. I do point server at directory above three containers and had hoped to see fourth directory shown. What I must do is put radio stuff in music as an additional genre directory. Gives me a few housekeeping issues with rsync but nothing I ca...

How Can I Add Directories to Server Menu
I have QPKG version running on Qnap NAS and serving several clients including some Linn Sneaky DS. Everything works very well but recently I decided to start putting radio download files, either mp3 or flac onto the server. To do this I added a directory "Radio" to the three existing Music, Photos a...

Is there a special Twonky syntax for Composer Tag?
Using latest QPKG version of Twonky on Qnap NAS with Briain's trees. I ask the question because, in my last ripping and tagging session, I thought it would be a neat addition to the Composer tag to include the life of the composer so, for a couple of CDs, I tagged composer thus: Vivaldi, Antonio (16...

Re: Recommended Devices List
Three questions:-
1.Do Dune HD devices work with Twonky streaming from NAS?
2.If yes do flac files work?
3. When will this list be consolidated and updated. Been a long time since it was started.

Hi, I have same problem Found an interesting thread on avforums site under satellite/freesat section where there is a good hack described to give better lan access to Humax. Twonky and Popcorn Hour vs Dune
I have ripped most of my classical collection to flac format and they are served by Twonky from a Qnap NAS. The system works well with Linn devices but my problem with the Popcorn Hour is that it will not accept flac files from Twonky. There seems to be a reluctance on the part of the PCH people to ...

A good start and glad you liked the suggestion. In your comments it might be better to make it clear the device must be used with Kinsky software. The album art can I believe be displayed on PC when using it but I don't bother with it so you may need further comments. I shall ask Briain from the Qna...

Re: Recommended Devices List (Draft)
For music I am finding the Linn Sneaky DS to be outstanding. It uses Kinsky control software running on laptop or pad and has built-in amplifier so you only need speakers. Works better with Twonky than Popcorn hour, Noxon and Netgear and the control software obviates the need for remote. Suggest you...

Hi Briain,
Thanks for the reply. My concern is the apparent creep of data associated with the embedded twonky over to the qpkg version. This should not happen but I had reached the same conclusion as you. Will go in and sort it out when I have time.
