I would not mind dropping the installers ( I rather do them manually anyway ... ) and support IF we get proper documentation. Being a paying customer, I do enjoy Twonky a lot but if NAS versions disappear, I'll be forced to moved to something else. It's one of the best PC-less solution out there (wi...

DHCP ?!?
Does your network use DHCP ? It decides which IP goes to whom and if none are define statically, they get dynamically assigned.

LinuxMCE, to my great surprise, does not seem to have UPnP, so it won't work. IT does look nice thought :)

The procedure you just mentioned does not work on the NSLU2 platform. The file gets overwritten :( On *nix platforms, the parameter passing when starting the twonkymedia daemon *should* be full proof. The worst thing with this is that it does not seem to be the slug, but more the Twonky + MP-101 combo that is misbehaving. I've read many threads with the MP-101 having problems with Twonky or the the MP-101 itself. My setup never had any issue of this kind :? Sorry for not being able to solve this ...

After reading some more on your client, there is a RTP option in Twonky for your client, try to change it (either from 0 to 1 or vice versa).

I would still go with FLAC, but use the transcoding plugin provided by Twonky. It's the lossless encoding which is the most widespread and accepted AFAIK.

My collection is presently in lossy, but if I had to do it again, I would go FLAC.

From what I read, they seem to be moving away from UPnP ... M$ indicated that Windows Media Connect which is there (poor) attempt to implement it *was not supported anymore by the 360 even if it still *works*. My bet is that the cut it off in a couple of years for something proprietary.
