Re: Twonky 8.5 released
Greg, You're very welcome. I am glad that the solution worked for you as well. Thanks for letting me know. Your feedback may help others in the future. Perhaps reasonably, the expected use for the Linux based builds is on a hard-disk based system, where the token would not disappear as soon as power...

Re: Twonky 8.5 released
Christian, I have the same request as S80_UK: Can you fix Twonky Server to not require a login after the host server reboots? I have Twonky Server running on a Raspberry Pi, and I sometimes need to reboot it, or power if off. Upon power-up, although Twonky Server is being run as a service on the Ra...

Re: No Twonky service after update to 8.4?
I have to agree - the new system sucks. I am using Twonky under Linux - I am seriously considering rolling back to 8.3 due to this crazy start up process. And Twonky... Why does the forum say "You cannot make another post so soon after your last." when all I am trying to do is help people? The requi...

Note that this version uses the new start-up process requiring a user login to Lynx Technology. I have the Linux version running fine, but I don't like the new registration process. It is not user friendly.

Re: Twonky 8.5 released
I have a question regarding the need to log in to start the server.... I can understand that in initial login may be needed when setting up the server, and I can understand the use of a remote server to validate the use of the registration key. However, it seems that the user is also required to log...

Re: Twonky Server 8.4.1 released
So, to answer my own question... Does it impose some unstated restriction on the range of characters permissible for user names and / or passwords? Yes, it did. One of the fixes in the new 8.5 release is to allow the handling of "special" characters in passwords. In my view there should be nothing s...

Re: Twonky Server 8.4.1 released
Hi. Is there a "correct" procedure to update from a version which used the previous licensing scheme (such as Twonky Server 8.3 running under Linux)? The new scheme does not like my forum login, and I also tried creating a new one for the Lynx Technology login that the server offers, but had no luck...
