I purchased 4.4 for Mac and all seems to work as before... in beta4 As long as videos are saved in the proper MP4 ecoding with the right tags... they work fine. Music works as well... i do have some music in my library which is showing up as unsupported, i have to test to see which ones work and whi...

Thank You... i'm glad someone else here knows what i'm talking about. You also have to realize that there are misconceptions about the Mac and Mac users. We're like the nerds at school that got picked on, and the PC's are the Jocks and popular people. There's tons of Jocks and "cool" people that lik...

You're absolutely right... i'm used to working on a mac and expecting things to work all the time.. because i'm used to that! :P Look... i just want this thing to work! I like it... it seems to work at times, and i think it's the only chance i really have to get Video and Music streaming to my PS3. ...

Off topic!?
Wait a second... why was the Mac vs. PC topic locked for being off topic!? The mod mgillespie said that the discussion of mac vs. pc in a different topic was off topic, and he requested that a new Topic be started to discuss this... he said he would be more than happy to discuss it. So the Topic "Ma...

I think for the most part that people are posting issues here with the beta because we're trying to help in any way that we can to get them resolved. I don't complain just to complain... i would like to purchase this software... and my trial is running out very soon... but i can't justify buying som...

I'd also like to add... one of the big reasons why people prefer Windows over Mac, is because of the fact that Windows has a higher install base, more game designers make games for Windows. This makes sense. If you were trying to sell a product, and 500 million people used Windows (just saying for e...

Why do they have BootCamp? Because they are accommodating their customers. They are giving them the opportunity to run Mac Osx or Windows on their Apple Machine. I think this makes Apple Computers pretty versatile. You don't see PC's (windows) accommodating for the Apple community... it's because th...

I do understand this... i'm just very disappointed that not one company can get media to stream to the PS3 properly... it's very frustrating. I have been using this to stream media ESPECIALLY mp4 and m4v perfectly for the past month. (Audio and pictures work great unless of course they have some ki...

Problems with beta5 (MAC)
After first installing 4.4 beta 5, i was having a problem seeing any sub directories on the PS3, but a quick rebuild fixed that. The main issue i'm having now is that there's a Safari browser popping up behind the main login window. I've already stated this in a different post, but this should reall...

I do understand this... i'm just very disappointed that not one company can get media to stream to the PS3 properly... it's very frustrating. I think you need to add MAC into that statement, as PC owners are streaming just fine, from Twonky and other programs. And from what I can gather, the proble...

Let me get this straight... are you saying that the reason this isn't working is because i'm using a mac!? Are you saying this because you hate mac's and you're more inclined to favor Windows? First of all let me just say... that the reason this isn't working... is because nobody has effectively des...

I would highly recommend Visual Hub for converting any already existing files you have... .avi, mp2, mov, wmv... etc. to mp4. They actually just updated it today, and it says it has a PS3 tab... haven't tried it yet... but if it says its there... then it most likely works. These guys are good and ma...

Folder Organization (PS3 / Mac)
Can someone help me out who has a bit more knowledge on this than i do. I need some help figuring out how to set up the folder organization for my videos. I also just found that some movies that would show up, did after i changed a setting. Under the Sharing tab, I have my directories selected for each content, pictures to my pictures folder.... etc. I set the video one to All Content Types instead of being on Video, and my missing files popped up. I ...

Something is still weird here with Twonky and streaming Videos. Yesterday, i was able to finally save some movies out and got them to work. But i was converting more movies the same way, and now they don't work. I've also had the same issues as others, where a file will show up, then disappear, and ...

What would be the point of using Redkawa if it's PC only. I'm certainly not going to transfer all my files from my mac to my pc to convert them and then send them back! There's some sort of problem that Twonky has sending info over when it streams. MP4's i have that work on the PS3 on a usb drive, d...

So far, i was only able to watch a movie file through Twonky, when it was a .mpg (mpeg2) I'm assuming the Mpeg1 works the same. I wish this thing would support AVI... it would make life so much easier. I've only tried a small clip so far, but i'm in the process of converting a full movie with Visual...

Does anyone know the latest on the 4.4 beta2??? I downloaded it this morning, and installed but didn't notice a difference. I still can't view MP4's. I put some MP4's on a usb drive and they worked on the PS3, but when i try them over the Twonky server... it says unsupported data. Also, Maybe if the...
