Unfortunately Redkawa does not seem to be able to take uncompressed AVI and encode directly to MP4. I tried this, and the resulting MP4 file plays back nicely on my PC, but when I stream it to the PS3 all I get is sound, no video. Redkawa doesn't seem to be able to recognize the AVI from my Sony DV...

then what am i doing wrong because mp4 just wont play from my Mac. TS_ files do but have no know duration and all mp4 are "incompatable" trough twonky :cry: What program are you using to encode to MP4? The PS3 seems very picky about the codec used. I have noticed that anything in MP4, properly encoded of course, plays fine. I would hate to have to recode over 300GB of home movies, so that's why a fix would be great.

Anyone have any luck with FF/REW of MPEG-2 on PS3?
I know that we have seen a few posts on the subject over the last few days. I was wondering if anyone has been able to get FF/REW to work using Twonky and PS3? If so, what platform are you using? Is there any indication of an upgrade to fix the problem?

I can't seem to navigate in streamed video files. I can hit L1 to go to the beginning, but that's it. The menu icons for FF/REW are greyed out. Should this be possible? Is anyone else able to navigate in streamed video files? I have the same problem with mpeg-2 video only. It seems the PS3 is eithe...
