mgillespie, thanks for the heads up on the last.fm service; it's a great idea. But I see now that the fact that it doesn't have a record of what I play on my home stereo (namely, using TwonkyMedia) is the big missing link. Having this as a plug in for TwonkyMedia would be fantastic (assuming it coul...

Yes, I have that same problem with my NAS (HP MediaVault). I can't play any of the MPEG-4 AVC video files directly from my NAS running Twonky, though I can play them from a memory card. If I use MPEG-2 PS, then I have no problems. Most downloaded content is DivX or Xvid, so I need to re-encode anywa...

I recommend MediaMonkey to check and fix all your tags. I don't understand why people want to import their iTunes library (I've seen this mentioned a number of times) - what's the benefit? I have iTunes pointing to my music folder tree, as well as MediaMonkey and Twonky, and each built their own dat...

"Music Broadcast" function. Listen to the same music in different rooms, so synchronized playing of selected content on multiple upnp clients. Philips has something similar on ints wacs7000. The Apple TV looks nice. The form factor is nice and small. The problem is it is not a DLNA device. Ah, good point. In my music tree set-up I have a two level node: Artist | Album, and the album is sorted alphabetically. Twonky on an HP MediaVault
Thanks to the FAQ I can get TwonkyMedia 4.4 to run on my HP MediaVault by executing it manually during a telnet session. It works great, except it will shut down once I close the telnet session (which defeats the purpose of running it on an NAS). Following directions in that same FAQ I set up a star...

I don't see album art when streaming an MP3 file to a PS3. That same MP3 file on the PS3's drive does show the ablum art.
