Re: Struggling to install TwonkyMedia 4.4.9 in Xubuntu 8.10
Thanks very much for the help, but I've decided to switch from Twonky (and a custom media server in general). I'm tired of fiddling with getting linux to do just what I want (really touch without a decent internet connection at home to look stuff up!). I recently checked out the latest XBMC build an...

Struggling to install TwonkyMedia 4.4.9 in Xubuntu 8.10
Hi, I have a machine that I previously had running Ubunutu 7.10 with an older version of TwonkyMedia. I have just done a fresh install of Xubuntu 8.10 and am having trouble installing TwonkyMedia on it. I initially did not read the installation guide, and just went ahead and sudo installed with the ...

I recently set up Twonky with exactly the same setup and had the problems you're mentioning. When you installed Twonky, did you do it as superuser (using sudo)? Excuse the double post :) I just tried the 4.4 beta on my windows system at work. While I can now open the media page (http://[IP]:9000/webbrowse) on my PSP without Javascript errors, the only link that is 'clickable' is the home image. The other three links don't provide a link, and once moused-ove...

Well, I use the RSS solution quite successfully at home (with Twonky) and at home (with Tversion) for music. I usually just use the genre mix, but I have a couple of preferred winamp playlists as well. With Tversity I can also use custom streams (not limited to shoutcast.. hint hint to the Twonky gu...

That may be so, but SOME way to access movies and pictures would be nice. The MediaLibrary.html page cannot be viewed in the PSP (not on mine anyway, I get a javascript error) and if it was just possible to view links to the videos/pictures on a webpage then they would be downloadable to the PSP-whi...
