How to uninstall Twonky v5.0 from NAS?
I had posted in the NAS forums but not getting much help... I've upgraded to TMM on a virtual PC and need to clean up my NAS. What's the simplest way to unload the service from my Terastation and prevent it from running on subsequent resets? I'm comfortable with acp_commander, but not sure on which ...

NAS Tidy-up (Uninstalling Twonky)
I've upgraded to TMM on a virtual PC and need to clean up my NAS. What's the simplest way to unload the service from my Terastation and prevent it from running on subsequent resets? I'm comfortable with acp_commander, but not sure on which files to edit to remove / uninstall the required elements? C...

Many thanks Swordcast !! Very helpful and a very good start! I have managed to set 443 in the .ini file (after messing about with a text editor to cope with the encoding). I have read back the file and confirm that 443 is set. However I can't access the site using http s ://myip/webbrowse . I turned...

Remote Web Access from behind corporate firewall
I want to access my Twonky collection from behind my corporate firewall. In summary, only port 80 (http) and 443 (https) is allowed out of the network. Is it possible to configure Twonky to allow web access on port 443 instead of 9100? If so, how? and what would the URL look like? I'll obviously nee...

Track Length not shown (.flac)
When playing .flacs via Twonky 4.4 to my Roku Soundbridge, I cannot see the track length. The flacs are ripped with EAC and AccurateRip with the Flac encoder. If I use TagScanner to look at the tags, I can see the track length as part of the .flac / ogg details. mp3s display the track fine. Any idea...

DynDNS: WebHop & Twonky access on 9100
Hi. I have set up my DynDNS domain and am using a webhop redirection. The access to my /webbrowse page works beautifully from a standard browser, and even my Nokia E61. However, behind a corporate firewall that only allows port 80 (http) traffic, I am getting a gateway timeout error from our proxies...

Any Linux buffs willing to help with an experiment?
I believe that the Buffalo Terastation Live (ARM processor) NAS is capable of transcoding .flac to .wav as I have had firefly doing just that. But I want to use Twonky to retain the .jpg, .flac/ .mp3, .mpg capabilities. However, the .flac plug in hasn't been compiled for the Buffalo NAS platform. I'...

Have I understood this right? Is it possible to take the cgi-bin source code here and compile it to run on the Buffalo Terastation? I think I understand that Firefly uses the .flac libraries too (the same ones that Twonky uses) and I've proven last night that the ARM Terastation can cope with transc...

Between a rock and a hard place.
Forgive me for what I fear may become a rant, but I'm rather confused as to what to do next. Perhaps you guys can help? I am a fully paid up subscriber to Twonky and use v4.4 on my Bufalo Terastation NAs. My clients comprise: 1) PS3 - mainly for photo viewing from NAS (Great!), but ocassional use as...

Time to Rip! But which codec for multiple clients?
Well, a shoulder operation has rendered me housebound for a week, so the wife has kindly suggested that I rip the CD collection to the Terastation NAS (running Twonky 4.4b4). I intend to use Exact Audio Copy (EAC) with AccurateRip and would like to use a lossless format for absolute best reproductio...

I have read that both Nokia E61 (which I have) and an N95 are UPnP / DLNA compliant devices.

Can I change the web access port number?
Hi, I have a Buffalo Terastation Live NAS server which I have installed Twonky 4.4 beta on and I want to be able to access the content from my workplace. However, the workplace has very strict lockdowns on tcp ports that are allowed and basically, the only port that is usable is port 80 (http). My r...
