Anyone try the PS3 2.60 FW yet?
2.60 is out with a new photo album feature. It doesn't say if it works with photos from a media server. Anyone try it yet?

Re: playing MKV on a PS3?
Ditto on mkv2vob http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=131782 works really well. Convert the MKV to another format. I use m2ts since its a "Sony" standard and will likely be supported well on a PS3. It is very easy to convert and very fast as well.

Re: Large jpg issues with PS3
My pics are mostly from my 6 MP (3008 x 2000) Nikon DSLR and they work great. I dont have a 12 MP camera, so I took a couple of images and resized them up using Photoshop to test this. I sized them up to 4272 x 2840 and they worked perfectly. This is with Twonky 4.4.4 on Linux with a PS3 2.20. Any o...

I'm pretty sure its the 2.10. I was running 4.4.2 for a while without issue with PS3 2.01. I first saw the problem when I went to PS3 2.10. I'll stick with 4.4.2 for now. I use Twonky mostly for audio, dont really need the new video features of 4.4.3 right now. Once they get the album art and the fo...

Something changed with PS3 2.10 as well. When I added new music, it would not show album art, but existing tracks did. I rebuilt the database, now they all have the same problem. There is album art when you play music, but then go back to XMB with the PS button, pick a different album, you will see ...

PS3 and album art problem since 2.10 PS3 update(?)
Album art has always worked fine up until now. Now what is happening is I always have the alblum art while looking at the tracks in the album, but when I play the track, I just get the generic music note. I will get the art when I play the 1st song, but then music note after that. I also added a bun...

I have not seen anything that works as well as the PS3 (even the 360). Whilst it may look pricey, you may be able to sell existing kit that it replaces, to part fund it. Timestamp always 12:00 am when viewing pics
When I view pics on my PS3, the date is right, but the time is always 12:00 am (Twonky 4.4 Linux). If I look at the pics locally in the PS3, the timestamp is correct. Is Twonky not reading/passing the time in the Exif?

IMO, stick with MP3. I know its not lossless, but if done properly, it is "transparent". Transparent meaning you can not distinguish a difference from the original. The thing is with MP3, you are pretty much guaranteed it will work in anything you play it in which is of huge importance to me. WMA 19...

The Apple TV looks nice. The form factor is nice and small. The problem is it is not a DLNA device. I would have to sync it with ITunes on a PC or Mac. My Twonky runs on a Linux server.
