has anybody got an "Olympia Web-Radio 300" and can tell me which client setting I should use? Thanks!

Streaming Buffer Size question
Hi, I'm running version 4.4.4i on Debian 4 (Etch), serving only music to three wired MP 101s (not simultaneously). Client setting is "Netgear MP 101" (not "Netgear MP 101 RTP" because music stutters after approx. 45 seconds with this client setting). My question: Is the "Streaming Buffer Size" setti...

Re: Version 2.9 for Linux
I'd also be very happy with version 3.0 for Linux (x86) - thanks!

Re: installing Twonky 4.4 on debian 4.0
Have you solved the problem in the meantime? I manually installed Twonky on Debian Etch according to the instructions in Linux-HowTo.txt, but placed the two symbolic links pointing to the start script into /etc/rc2.d instead of rc3.d and rc5.d. Works as expected, except for the buggy streaming suppo...

Re: What NAS Server tu buy?
Hi, a Linux computer meant to act as a server only does not require a GUI. A GUI is a waste of resources. Setting up Linux is not too difficult - but don't expect it to be a task that can be accomplished on one afternoon. But you'll be happy afterwards because the system perfectly suits your needs, ...

Re: What NAS Server tu buy?
I've got this one: http://www.reichelt.de/?ARTICLE=77994 Approx 350 EUR including an internal as well as an external (USB) hard drive. Installed Debian Etch (no GUI, I'm doing everything via SSH), runs Twonky, Apache Webserver (SSL!), blogging software (Serendipity) including MySQL. No problems at a...

Netgear MP101 RTP broken again?
Hello, I installed 4.4.3.1 on an x86 mini PC (1 GHz processor) running Debian Etch. Playback of MP3 files with Netgear MP 101 clients stutters and gets slower after approx. 90 seconds if I choose "Netgear MP101 RTP" from the clients list. "Netgear MP101" seems to be ok. I know that this was an issue...

Looking at resources/TwonkyMediaConfig.js reveals that the URL for rescanning the DB is http://127.0.0.1:9000/rpc/rescan
Using wget in a cron job lets you rescan the DB whenever you like.

To upgrade or not?
Hi, I' am using version 4.3 on an NSLU in conjuction with three MP101 clients. Is there any reason why I should upgrade to the current version 4.4.2? What annoys me most is that - the shoutcast genre filter is limited to 18 genres - the configuration is sometimes lost Did I miss a nice feature that ...

I'm quite sure that you won't be able to install anything on this box. Since it supports FTP and offers access via a web interface, it must have some kind of operating system. However, not a single word is said about telnet, other file systems than FAT32, the processor or the amount of RAM it comes ...

I changed the hostname of my NSLU2. Right afterwards the configuration was completely lost and the server was no longer registered. I don't know whether this is just a coincidence or causal. I stopped the mediaserver, copied the config backup I had made before onto the ini file, restarted the NSLU, ...

4.4 "Lost registration key" issue fixed
I am using version 4.3 on my NSLU2, and again the configuration including the licence key vanished for some unknown reason. Has this been fixed in V 4.4?
