thanks for your suggestion, but i found it out by myself.
Changing the twonkymedia-server.ini (not twonkymedia-server-default.ini ) followlinks=0 to followlinks=1 gives me back the symlink folders. For it is binary, use a emac editor!

It IS a issue of virtual network devices. Shut down the virtual devices and the problem should be gone. I have the same problem on my suse 9.3 machine which has several virtual network devices. I sent a bug-ticket when 4.3 beta was running. The support could't reproduce the problem, but on these day...
