Open the MP4 in QuickTime Player and chose "Save". It will let you save it as a MOV file. Be sure to save it as a self-contained movie.

I haven't had any luck streaming MOV files (with H.264/AAC content) from my DS107e though. Maybe it'll work with MPEG4 content.

Nope, MP4 streaming from a Synology DS107e to an Xbox 360 doesn't work for me either. The video shows up, but doesn't play.

WMVs stream fine.

So, nobody uses TwonkyMedia on a Synology device then? Not even those that made the build? :) I installed TwonkyMedia 4.4 on my Synology DS107e, and it streams WMVs just fine to my Xbox 360. But MP4s don't play. I can see the title being offered from Twonky, but when I play it nothing happens. No er...

Twonky 4.4 and Synology DS107e - Xbox 360 can't play MP4s

I installed TwonkyMedia 4.4 on my Synology DS107e, and it streams WMVs just fine to my Xbox 360. But MP4s don't play. I can see the title being offered from Twonky, but when I play it nothing happens. No error message is displayed on the 360 - it just doesn't do anything. The same MP4 file plays fin...
