Need help creating a "Title Index" in Advanced Navigation
Hi! I've been unable to locate a posting with this information, but I'm sure it's been addressed. I'd like to modify "view-definitions.xml" or whatever files are needed to create a "Title Index" option on my D-Llink DSM-320 players when using Advanced Navigation. I have already modified the file to ...

Re: DSM-320 Won't See Server on Windows XP
I think I've solved the problem. Turns out that Windows XP SP2 didn't automatically install the Monitoring and Management Services. Once I installed these (as a Windows component) I was able to access the firewall and turn it off. Some combination of these two actions, followed by a TM restart, allo...

Re: DSM-320 Won't See Server on Windows XP
As a follow-up...I uninstalled TM Server 6.0 and reinstalled TM 4.4.5 with the same results. Based on a comment from another forum, I found that Windows Management and Monitoring Srvice was not installed, so I installed it. I can now see the status of my Firewall, but still cannot access it to chang...

DSM-320 Won't See Server on Windows XP
Hi! I've looked at about a dozen of the posts, but nothing I've seen seems to help. MY DSM-320 Media Player won't find the TM Server (Version 6.0). I get "NO SERVER FOUND." I'm running TM Server on a machine I just updated to Windows XP SP3. The installation and configuration look good. This is both...

Re: Sorting by track order within a folder using MP3 tags?
Yes, a branched tree structure would be quite efficient. But I don't have any problems sorting by artist folder (my highest level folders). I use several D-Link players and I just page down to the artist folder. While I now have about 16,500 tracks, I find it pretty easy and fast to get to them in t...

Re: Sorting by track order within a folder using MP3 tags?
Thanks for the comment! Yes, I was able to modify the sort order based upon the suggestions made elsewhere. (I also have to confess that this is a bee in my bonnet. I'm getting really tired of Winamp, Mediamonkey, and other media player users who apparently think I'm a complete idiot for sorting tra...

Will a license key for TMS 5.12 work for TMS 4.4.9?
(Refer to my other posting.) I'm considering uninstalling TMS 5.12 from a friend's machine and installing TMS 4.4.9. I just bought a license for TMS 5.12. Will it (the license key) work on the older version? Since I can't seem to get tracks to sort properly by MP3 tags within a folder using 5.12 and...

Sorting by track order within a folder using MP3 tags?
I'm running TMS 4.4.9 on a Win2K server. The hardware are D-Link DSM-320s with firmware Rev. 1.9. I have TMS set to "Simple Default Navigation" and I have no problem in showing tracks in proper order within a folder. Each folder is an album and each MP3 tag has the proper track number. Also, each MP...

Mine does the same thing...
Has anyone tried deleting the default ini file to see if that fixes the problem? I have to restart my service about every 10 minutes since updating to 4.3.
I'm afraid to update again as I imagine I'll have a whole new batch of problems.
