Re: WD My Book Live problems and Twonky
Here is the reply I received from WD Tech Support. "Unfortunately there is no update on the My Book World to upgrade the Twonky media server, and we do not provide support to upgrade the Twonky Media Server on the hard drive, because this will change the intended behavior of the unit and may lead t...

Do you see any media files when you use your web browser to go to the address- http://<ipaddressof yourwdmybook>:9000/webbrowse Sorry for the answer to this month's old question, combined with a urgent plea for help. I've just got one of these MYBOOKLIVE cloud drives. They do some nice things but w...

Missing lines from playlists and ANSI - UTF-8 issues
Hi, I have used for years a twonky server on my Maxtor network drive. It is version 4.4. I have long had a problem I blamed on my D-link 320 but recently I got a WD-TV live and have the exact same problem so it must be the twonky. A few pieces are often missing from a playlist, or sometimes the play...

Re: Twonkey to WD TVLive problems
Please beware I only answer as no one wiser has yet. I have a WD TV Live and twonky server (v4.4) is the only thing that has worked from the start without needing any adjustment of fix. When you say you've tried the suggestions on the forum do you mean this one or WD's? WD usually suggests a hard re...

License key doesn't work, no help form Support
Hi, I use Twonkymedia Server version 4.4. So shoot me. As it works I see no reason to pay to fix it. But recently I made the mistake of experimenting with the NAS package (also version 4.4) for installing Twonky on and unslung NSLU2. I had thought that one was allowed up to three uses of the server ...

Re: NAS Verbatim 1TB
Are you saying it's just one music album that won't play? You might try this, though I have no idea why it sometimes works. Remove the album art from the files.
First back up the files. Then use a tag editor to remove the album art. See it it does anything. Worth a try.

Re: NSLU2 - devices say no media files
An update, the DSM-320 now works a treat (silly mistake on my part) but after many hours of work and research I still cannot get the WD TV Live going. It recognizes the Twonky-NSLU server, but as soon as you click it you get this "there are no media files in this directory."

NSLU2 - devices say no media files
Hi, I've been going nuts trying to get twonkymedia-nslu2-4.4.11, or the latest twonkymedia-nslu2-5.1.3, to work with an unslung (v 6.10) NSLU2. Both a D-Link DSM 320 and a Western Digital TV Live see the Media Server but if you go to it they "find no media files in this folder." I have no problem ge...

Re: How do I turn off Twonky
Try pasting "http://localhost:9000/rpc/stop" into your browser. I had the same question. However, I should not like to try "http://localhost:9000/rpc/stop" until quite sure of the correct way to start it up again. Do I just hit "restart server"? Or ought I past "http://localhost:9000/rpc/start" in?...
