I've installed the official update - no difference whatsoever to my problem of retaining my settings. It still reverts to "/" folder structure, and 60 minute refesh time.

I'm not installing this 'new' update unless I'm convinced that it fixes the problem of regularly loosing my 'Content location' and 'Rescan in minutes' settings, thus having to select all the details again and rescan. I have this problem too. But only on my LaCie Ethernet drive. My PC version works fine.
