Re: AGEstar network case
I finally managed to hack this together and got Twonky 4.4.5 running! The solution I've got is cludgy but it works. I'll get my thoughts together on exactly what I just did and post the details here if anyone is interested. Initial thoughts are that it is good but it would be better if the Xbox 360 ...

Request for help upgrading Twonky 3.1 to 4.4
I wonder if anyone can help? I have a NAS which runs Busybox Linux and currently has Twonky 3.1 installed in the /usr/sbin/media folder. The NAS is not one of the ones listed on http://www.twonkyvision.com/Download/TwonkyMedia/TM4Technicians.html so there is no supported install for it. I wondered i...

Re: AGEstar network case
I went through the process at http://www.lliures.org/2008/05/02/ft3563-bt-hacking/ today and quickly got root access to the busybox linux os on this device via telnet. I found Twonky 3.1 installed in the /usr/sbin/media folder but despite my best efforts I couldn't get any of my feeble attempts at a...

Re: AGEstar network case
It might be worth keeping an eye on this page http://tinyhack.com if Agestar are not being helpful. If it is possible to access Linux on the box then I guess it may be possible to pay for a new license for the later version of Twonky which supports the Xbox 360 and install it onto the box. It's not ...

Re: AGEstar network case
I thought I would update this with the best work around I've been able to come up with so far. It involves using a Windows PC with Media Player. By default Media Player won't allow you to share content on a NAS with the Xbox 360. You can get round this by doing the following... 1. Click Start, click...

Re: AGEstar network case
Yeah I bought an Agestar ncb3ast NAS/Media Server to use with my Xbox 360 as well. (http://www.agestar.com/english/products/ccb3at.asp) The TwonkyMedia Server shows up when I want to watch a video on the Select Source screen but whenever you try to select it as the source it tries to connect and the...
