Re: Why pay for a new version?
[/quote] Well, I was pretty surprised reading this. Why are they talking about media manager 5? All I asked for was the server version. I never mentioned the word "manager" in my request. And instead of sending me a new valid TMS key they give me advice to request one. After answering their m...

Re: Why pay for a new version?
Email: support@twonkymedia.com They will sort out the "Lifetime" licence users! And the lifetime license was more expensive than the normal license. So I Think we want value for our money, that is a free upgrade to the 5.0 version (the server version, not the media manager offcourse) I hope they re...

Re: Why pay for a new version?
When I bought the license (it was version 3,x) this was what they said. The upgrade from 3.x to 4.x was free, as they promised. I understand I have to pay for the new Media Manager: it's a new product (what looks very good I think). I stay with version 4.4.9 This version runs very good on my system....

Now version 5 is released and I have to pay for a licence again if I want to use this new version. I feel that Twonky once more has let us dow...

Re: Content / folder directories
Did you make a video tree? Make a new directory in the root of your disk and copy all the "genre-directories" to this directory so they become subdirectories of the new made folder Then make your video tree: Video node 1, type folder. Choose the name of this node as you like I think this is what you...

Re: Just how bad are support?
I think Twonky is loosing the support from their users. Many people who participate in the beta email-list ask to be removed
from this list. And the people at Twonky do nothing. It seems they don't care about us anymore.

Re: Just how bad are support?
There seems to be no support at all.
At this moment I can only advise not to buy this product if you expect good support and a good working piece of software.

Re: Hello? Anyone from TV out there?
It seems that the software as well as the support gets buggier with every new version. The support isn't as good as it was some time ago. I asked support to send me an older version the one that is on the website (I asked for 4.4 (from june last year). They replied that this version isn't available ...

I solved this problem by using the composer-field in the mp3-tag. I filled this field with either my name or my wifes name. In Twonky I renamed the composer-field to "owner" and built a music tree that starts with this owner field: owner - folder owner - artist We both think this is a good working s...
