I tried installing Media Monkey on PC. Then add existing songs located on the NAS to a playlist or export the playlist as .m3u. It will appear in the same sub folder on the NAS and should appear on your upnp client if youv rescan for songs. It's a workaround. and perhaps there's an better/easier way...

Have you given up on this or do you still want advice. I have Twonky installed on LsPro using Freelink. I also have it on Windows.

I copied my .m3u playlists into the same (sub)folder where the tracks are located. /share/music/folder These were discovered by Twonky (and also other server software programs): Mediatomb and mt-daapd (Firefly). don't forget to rescan for songs. I don't have a client for TV or video but I assume any...

I have the same problem. Bought a Reciva "Tangent Quattro" internet Radio which also works as a Upnp client. It works fine with Windows Media (11) on my PC but I would like to turn off the PC and use a networked HD. So I also have a Linkstation (NAS) running Linux on which I just installed TwonkyMed...
