Streaming from Twonky 4.4.7 to a Linux client
Firstly, I hope I am posting in the right forum! I have a Windows Home server running the above release of Twonky and am able to stream media including m2ts files to a PS3. I would like to investigate the possibility of streaming the same content from the same server to a linux device which I may bu...

I'm fairly certain that you can only use locally stored pics in the new 2.6x slide show feature
Thankfully all of my m2ts files still work !!!

Re: 360 changes name to PVConnect, cannot use PS3 anymore
Not that many people have botha 360 and a PS3, I have never seen this on my setup, a PS3 and 2 Noxon2, which suggests the Xbox is where the problem lies (no change there then..). I also know the Xbox is not DLNA compliant, and requires nasty hacks serverside to get it working. If you have enough re...

PS 2.5 gets my vote (with twonky)
I've upgarded to 2.5 on the PS3 and all my remuxed movies still work so no further damage has been done!
I like the ability to skip times and it would be nice if you could change the skip interval from 1 minute. It maybe you can do this - _ just havent looked yet!

Re: Double menu's
I dont know the definative answer to this but I suspect the answer is "NO" If I am correct it is probably because Twonky is designed for use by multipl clients rather than just the PS3. So the fact you have selected Video in the XMB is a function of the PS3 rather than Twonky. if anyone does know th...

Re: PS3 WOBBLY Sound + Stream stop
I had a similar problem which occured if I attempted to stream from twonky (running on a Windows Home Server) if the software was reindexing after I had added some content.
If I left it for a while and then played either audio or video it was fine.

Re: Latest PSP3 System Update Issue
I was shocked to see that .MTS files are reported as DLNA_PS_PAL_.. files rather than DLNA_TS_NTSC_AVC... files. If Sony updated if firmware to be a bit more careful on the media formats it accepts, I would say that the PS3 is quite right now to play the MTS files from the 4.4.6 player. Out of inte...

As far as I know WMP 11 (out of the box) will not play M2T/M2TS content - whether streamed or local.
So this test may not be valid

Re: PS3 streaming m2ts unsupported error - possible fix
If possible, also post what originally created the non-working M2TS files. Perhaps then, instead of complaining, you can be constuctive in helping getting this fixed.... OK it may not be exactly what you were asking for, but prior to the tsremux solution NONE of the files created by the following w...

Re: PacketVideo's official position on the ps3 streaming issue
Whilst it would be sensible to wait IF you streamed MTS files, the vast majority of people will have no troubles at all, MTS streaming is a niche feature IMHO, and is a problem for a vocal few here it seems. I'll put my hands up as being one of the "vocal few" here but I'm not sure (in my case anyw...

Re: PS3 Video Streaming Problems Since 2.40 / 2.41?
No good news from me. I spoke to PS3 support at Sony who first advised me to restore the PS3 - which takes about 3 hours an achieved nothing. I then had the call escalated to a product specialist who offered to swap the unit out but I declined this on the basis that as far as I am concerned the hard...

Re: Connecting PS3 to QNAP TS 209 PLEASE HELP
Is there any wireless connectivity between the PS3 and the QNAP? When you look at client security you said that you can not see the PS3 but can you see any devices and if so can you account for them all? It almosts sounds like the PS3 is sending out a broadcast in an attempt to find DNLA servers but...

I'm away from home until the weekend but was looking at the twonkyvision-mediaserver.ini (for twonkymedia 4.4.6 and noticed a couple of settings I may experiment with at the weekend. The first one is dlnastrict=0. On the basis that 0=false I'm wondering it changing it to "1" makes the DLNA handling ...

PS3 Streaming Issue since 2.4x update/More testing
I know this has been discussed in other topics in this forum but I have just formally spoken to Sony whose help centre recommended the following course of action 1) Restore the PS3 (which results in the loss of any content on the hard disk). This didn't work. 2) Replace the PS3 as they believe the h...

Re: Help streaming media from a Linksys NAS200
I'm guessing your PS3 firware is version 2.40 or newer.
In which case you may want to have a look at the following thread

It appears to be a known problem with the PS3 and video streaming since the 2.4x update

Re: Latest PSP3 System Update Issue
"Twonky's Fault"? Well, in as much as prior to the 2.4x updates, TwonkyMedia was the perfect killer application, specifically for those of us who own the Canon HF10 or Sony SR11/12 camcorders. Prior to the updates, you could upload these .m2ts and .mts files to a host server computer, and they woul...

Just be aware that if your PS 3 is firware version 2.4x or higher you may well have problems streaming certain types of media (well documented in this forum)
if your PS3 is running version 2.36 of the firmware (a) dont update and (b) can I buy it !!!!

Twonky vs PVConnect on WHS PP1
This is probably a very simple and possibly a stupid question. I have a Windows Home Server and until last week had a purchased version of Twonky installed. Apart from the well known issue with the PS3 since 2.41 I was very happy with the combination. I have now upgraded to WHS PP1 and this now incl...

Re: Connecting PS3 to QNAP TS 209 PLEASE HELP
What version is your PS3? If it 2.41 then Sony have changed the Identify string so products such as twonky don't recognise it as a PS3 any more and show it as a generic DNLA client. If you click on the "client security" link on the twonky admin page do you see a device which has the IP address of th...

Latest PSP3 System Update Issue
Hi. Can can confirm this issue with all the .m2ts Files. BUT: with the original UpnP Plugin from Infrant's ReadyNAS, I still can play all the TS files without any problem (but I want to get rid of it...). From my point of view, it's not the FW 2.41 to blame alone, it could be rather a Twonky issue ...

Hey there, Bugsy...we're experiencing almost exactly the same thing. Does your PS3 recognize some, but not other .m2ts and .mts files? That's what is happening here where I am. I wish I have never upgraded from PS v 2.36 (I think) to 2.41 as it has broken the m2ts streaming from my Windows Home Server box to the PS3 using Twonky
