Re: TwonkyServer with Android client

I've run a further test with my Android device on a wired connection (motorola USB networking) to my PC. Exactly the same problem occurs. So it's not a Wi-FI issue and it can't be a codec issue since WMA files stored locally work ok. I've looked at whether it might be related to uPnP by accessing a ...

Be aware though that not all file formats provide good support for metadata - if you can't tag a file there is every chance that it won't be displayed in Twonky Server's Navigation Tree. I don't believe so - I've looked in vain for an xml file that holds the tag--->database mapping but can't find anything. I think it's hard coded into the executable (though this does seem rather surprising - maybe it's held in the database itself). If you find any further information on this do let ...

I think that Twonky's handling of tags depends on the Container type. ALAC files are I believe stored in an m4a container, same as AAC files. Grateful if someone from the team can advise me (Rick?): Is Alpha Grouping intended to apply to all text fields?

I can no longer get it to work on the genre field - it used to work fine until 5.1.3. Is this by intention or a temporary issue?
