Re: TwonkyServer with Android client
I've run a further test with my Android device on a wired connection (motorola USB networking) to my PC. Exactly the same problem occurs. So it's not a Wi-FI issue and it can't be a codec issue since WMA files stored locally work ok. I've looked at whether it might be related to uPnP by accessing a ...

I don't think it's a power management problem: I've tried the client plugged in to a wall plug (as in the thread on this subject), and besides the display shows no sign of switching off. The player just freezes at around 2 mins 20 secs. It's not just TwonkyMobile - same with 'aMediaControl' player. ...

Be aware though that not all file formats provide good support for metadata - if you can't tag a file there is every chance that it won't be displayed in Twonky Server's Navigation Tree. This is especially a problem with audio file formats: users may have large collections of music, so a logical hie...

I don't believe so - I've looked in vain for an xml file that holds the tag--->database mapping but can't find anything. I think it's hard coded into the executable (though this does seem rather surprising - maybe it's held in the database itself). If you find any further information on this do let ...

I think that Twonky's handling of tags depends on the Container type. ALAC files are I believe stored in an m4a container, same as AAC files. Grateful if someone from the team can advise me (Rick?): Is Alpha Grouping intended to apply to all text fields?
I can no longer get it to work on the genre field - it used to work fine until 5.1.3. Is this by intention or a temporary issue?
thanks,

Thanks for the additional information, edrikk. I've updated the table above. Do you know where Twonky derives Cover Art from for MP3 and WMA files? Re: Twonky Server Tags
Have done some tests on MP3. M4a and WMA files. It seems that these music tags are evaluated as follows: http://www.jglasson.talktalk.net/test.jpg The tags seem to be hard-coded into the twonkymediaserver executable.
