is streaming mkv over HTTP any different from streaming wmv? dont think so, try and rename a mkv file to wmv and if you player can handle mkv it will work. if you requier twonky to transcode mkv to a format your player can handle, you are indeed at the mercy of people who say things like "never" an ...

Hi,
Twonky server looks at file extentions, PCH looks at the file header.
if you rename a .mkv file to .wmv Twonky will stream it to PCH who will handle it as a mkv.
This works for all mediaplayers that are capable of handling mkv
