This is a very simple question about FLAC files!
Is there anybody out there who has actually managed to get Twonky to play FLAC files (and a few other formats, such as M4A, etc.) from a NAS box? I would be very interested to know, as I am not sure whether it is down to my Helios x5000 media player (although streaming FLAC files from my PC using Wi...

Re: Whats the story with TwonkyMedia Server and NAS Support?
I have the IcyBox 4220, and I updated the Twonky software from Raidsonic's support website: it's a bit fiddly to do, but it does work, as far as it goes, i.e. with none of the ability to deliver such formats as FLAC , M4A, etc, contrary to the blurb on their old website. Now that Twonky has brought ...

Re: Twonky 4.4.9 is not showing FLAC Files
Wish I could offer a suggestion. This problem is widespread, but unfortunately the software developers neither wish to recognise it as a problem nor to rectify it.
I can't even use the new version (5.0) as it is not yet built for the IcyBox NAS device.

Re: Best Windows Home Server Software
I suppose we're over a barrel really! We want it to be, well just working would be fine! But because there's no alternative, we have to hope it gets fixed. I actually don't use it on Windows, but a Linux NAS device. Is that included?

Re: Different platforms - different behaviour
No solution, but I have exactly the same problem, the only difference being that I am playing the files through my Helios x5000 media player which plays flac, m4a and many other files straight off the PC, but twonky cannot stream the files, only showing the titles. I have tried asking for help, but ...

FLAC, M4A, WMA, etc.
I am using the trial version of Twonkymedia 4.4.9 with an NAS (IcyBox 4220) and a Helios X5000 media player. Before I started out using my NAS and Twonky I streamed from my PC, and the Helios played all the formats that it is designed to play (e.g. FLAC, WMA, M4A, etc.). Now I have re-configured so ...

Re: 4.4.9 released now
Please, please, as I am a great fan of German media software (I also have DVB Viewer), add support for FLAC as I am very miserable until I can stream all my music, as I don't have much mp3 music. I would be happy to pay even for an addin. Can you help me please? Hi, we just released TwonkyMedia 4.4....

Re: 4.4.9 on IcyBox NAS
Exactly the same with me! I have huge numbers of FLAC files, which my HiFi media player will play (Helios X5000), and I cannot for the life of me undretsand why software developers ignore such formats as FLAC!
Unless they change this, they won't get my money!
