I would look up the manual for the make and model of your tv

some routers need upnp turned on for dlna to work right

also igmp proxy or igmp snooping can cause the issue

here is what I did so far to replicate your scenario

Two users both admins, Admin and Test
Installed Firefox
Installed TS 7.0.9
Logged in as Test, and Firefox auto launched when it should not have

I know that sorting changes in the view xml require a database rebuild a rescan or restart wont reflect the changes There is no rebuild button, so to do a database rebuild, use an rpc call http://127.0.0.1:9000/rpc/rebuild I played around with you situation while ago, and found an alternate solution...

sounds like a network issue on the qnap or the actual network
in that something is blocking the upnp/dlna broadcasts from the twonky server

- firewall on pc
- twonky server running on pc
- on the tv, do you have to allow media servers? maybe the tool has to be allowed?

I just remembered this

Primarily <Scaling> is for Photo media and not music and video
and mostly <SupportedMediaProfiles> is for thumbnails
The key to thumbnails scaling is AASCALE, as it is for albumart, aka thumbnails
but one also must take note of what the client will support
