Re: 4.4.6 Out Now!
Hi Guys, the problem with & seems to be fixed (at least on my PS3, FW 2.42) but they introduced(?) the ' to be the "killer" character (like all songs from the "B 52's" don't have any cover art) :( Honestly, I worked for StarOffice (aka OpenOffice.org) for more the 8 years and we had quite a lot of r...

Bug in 4.4.6: Cover Art + ' in filenames = broken
Hi Guys, I found and confirmed a bizarre bug in TV 4.4.6: If you have mp3's in directory or with filenames that include a ' in TV 4.4.6, it will fail on caching and displaying the cover art on the PS3! The above does not apply to ID3 tags with ' in it, this works fine... Current workaround: Download...

Hi Guys, I found and confirmed a bizarre bug in TV 4.4.5: If you have mp3's in directory or with filenames that include a "&" (ampersand) in TV 4.4.5, it will fail on caching and displaying the cover art on the PS3! Change the "&" to an "and" or a "+" and the cover art is working again. The above do...

Re: A few PS3 playback problems
Hmm, maybe I'm wrong, but do you try to access your music from the Video menu of the PS3 XMB bar? That would be common usability issue since TV is offering all media content (video, music and pictures) to the XMB entries.- Hence you will have music and pictures "available" from videos but obviously ...

Ok, now it works. Here's how I did it: - Installed TV 5b1 - Started it and turned all of my clients on (so TV 5b1 can register all these devices in it client.db) - De-installed TV 5b1 (but keeping client.db!) - Installed TV 4.4.4i and copied (overwriting) clients.db from TV 5b1 - Erased the twonkyme...

Re: Pinnacle M1001 not recognized by TV 4.4.4
Yes, there is: With version TV 4.4.4RC2 they changed from IP-based client detection (as in RC1) to a MAC-based one. And they screwed it (at least for the Roku/Soundbridge client). So far all you can do is using any version prior to RC2. There are no signs of a bugfix or whatsoever.... - ThyMa...

Hi Folks, apologies for being so "TV-is-guilty" minded. I should have searched this forum for that problem first hand to see/understand that problems lies at PS3 (and not TV). PS3 FW2.20 and TV 4.4.4 = stuttering MPEG4 play!

Hi, it does work and it doesn't (at least not with 4.4.4RC3 and higher). Hi, if I understand you right, you have problem with JPEG that are from a 12MP camera, right? But JPEG from a 8MP camera work just fine, right, too? So, like it or not, the TV support might be right: While 8MP JPEG are still within the D-Link's capabilities to re-scale a 12MP JPEG is just too big to...

Re: Q: how to get rid of the 1st navigation level?
Hi Guys, actually there is an option to at least get rid of the "Music, Video, Pictures" level for audio-only devices: It is under "Endgeräte". You have to choose "Generic Music Only Receiver" for this. This way, only the Music folder's content is available for the client. Unfortunately this featur...

Since the Kodak Picture Frames are not capable to show files AND folders in in one view there is a strong disadvantage the way TV handles tags: Let's say 50 pictures have the tag "Home", and 20 out of them have the additional tag "Kitchen". TV will allow to navigate through these tags by the followi...

Changing the "- ALL -" tag does not work
Hi,
whenever I try to change the value for - ALL - it won't survive the necessary restart of TV!
It's always been reset to - ALL -!!
Even stopping TV manually, editing the ini-file by hand and restarting TV has the same effect - You just can't change this value!
Please fix!
Thx
