Re: What is PV/Twonky's target market for TwonkyMedia Server?
I'm curious to know where forum members and Twonky themselves see the market to TwonkyMedia Server. I hope that some PV/Twonky employees will contribute to this thread! Twonky's Windows based products seem the most reliable - it's clearly more straightforward to maintain this version since there ar...

Re: Can not open TwonkyMedia Manager after download.
If you want help, stop embedding images in Word documents and the attaching the Word document. Just attach the image - not everybody has Word 2007. I'd suggest you start by upgrading to TMM 1.3, the current version. If you still have a problem then the next time it crashes open up Event Viewer (Cont...

Re: Can not open TwonkyMedia Manager after download.
Rather than embedding the screenshot in a DocX file (which not everybody can read) why not just post the screenshot? Not that that particular screenshot would help much since it's just a generic Windows crash report ;) It would help if you provided information on your setup. Details on the version o...

Re: How to get Twonky to read USB Drive attached to my NAS.
The simple answer is to add the path as you did for the NAS drive content. Where you'll find it depends on the OS you're using.

Re: Service Keeps Stopping
I'm running Ubuntu 9.04 (64 bit) with Twonky 5.1.2 (from source) and it works fine - try 5.1.2 and see if that solves your problem.

Re: Connected Home/DLNA Best Practices
Brilliant, thanks. I'm happy to try beta versions or custom profiles if you don't have access to a similar model - I'm not yet making serious use of the DLNA functionality so don't mind if I break things along the way (and I have working backups ).

Re: Connected Home/DLNA Best Practices
I can't stream MKV to my Samsung (LN32B650, firmware 2009/09/30_002005) from TwonkyMedia 5.1.2, but I can from Media Tomb 0.11.0 after following the instructions here . It's only the first part that adds 2 extra HTTP headers: <custom-http-headers> <add header="transferMode.dlna.org: Streaming" /> <a...
