Re: Coverart not showing
Hi Yes, I started out with embedded only but the earlier versions of TMS4.4 missed quite a lot of them. As I said in the previous post, I tried it with both embedded and Fonder.jpg and it worked well. I've just this second tried it with embedded only and it now seems to load the artworks at about th...

Re: Are You Happy With Your Netgear Hardware?
Absolutely delighted! The only snag is that you need to use the super-poussin (Netgear forum user) addon version of TMS5.0.55 as the current one listed on the PV site creates the Twonky database within the Twonky installation directory in the OS partition. As the OS partition is quite small, any mor...

Re: Coverart not showing
Hi I noticed that when using Folder.jpg only, a couple albums didn't display art (solved by embedding) and also that a few tracks caused my control point (KinskyPDA) to flag an art error and crash. Re: no rescan at system startup
Hi Please add me to the list of no boot-scan requesters . I'm running it on an NV+ and a Duo; the NV+ stays on all the time (but the rescan is only a few minutes anyway so it's not a big issue) but the Duo takes for ever to rescan. In my case, it's a test NAS so not important, however, if I had it a...

Hi Yes, I'd certainly not change anything if I'd already had high res art; you are as well to wait and see what happens. Sorry, I've not had any experience with non-music formats. Coverart also display in veriosn 5.0.55 but there is a problem with pixelation of the art, which is most likely due to the fact that the option to disable picture rescaling is no longer available it thta Veriosn of Twonky. Embedding cover art is the way forward, as it works correctly if you "odds and ends" directories, where many items in the same folder have different artwork, as the Folder.jpg only shows the first track. I have embedded artwork in 100% of my collection, and NOTHING gets on my mediaserver without 10...

Re: Rescan after Restart
I would really love a way to turn this off particularly on the NAS version but I'd have thought it would be a good idea on all versions. On something like a ReadyNAS, TMS5 hogs NAS resources until it has finished the rescan. In fact, I'd have thought that it would be best policy if it defaulted to n...

1. The ability to set the scanner priority to stop it hogging all resources (and making a NAS inacessable during the scan)
2. The ability to prevent it rescanning whenever you restart the server and thus also when you restart the NAS (or boot up your PC on a PC based installation)

Hi Rick
It was a long (but fun) task! I'm glad to help in any way I can; if I could get TMS5 to work, and have it with the music tree as per TMS4, it would easily be the best (and most navigable) FLAC media-server of all, so it's also in my own best interest to get it working well.
