Re: Twonky Server 5.1 does not work with Link Station Live
It will appear as though files are being created in /var/twonky but they are actually being created in /mnt/disk1/twonkydb. Check the files in both folders and they should be the same. Linux/Unix links aren't the same as Windows shortcuts. i.e. if you cd /var/twonky and do an ls -l you will see the ...

You need to set the followlinks parameter to get it to follow links.
If you search for followlinks I explained to someone else how to set that parameter recently.

The final post in the link I gave mentioned adding XM:NOTRPICS to the profile used for your TV in your clients.db file. Have you tried this? The link shows that the Denon doesn't support WMA Lossless natively or it would be able to play it from USB (only WMA and WMA(DRM) are listed). For streaming it lists WMA Lossless Transocde - this link seems to agree with my suggestion that WMP is transcoding to WMA lossy before streaming. This othe...

Glad you got it working - I might have to try it soon and see if it is any better than the 5.1 Betas.
I don't think using your (1), (3) and (5) would have solved anything as it would still be using /var which will give the same issue due to its limited size.

The problem is that the /var folder is on a small partition on the LS Live (and Pro) so fills up quickly after which the NAS grinds to a halt. You need to either symlink the /var/twonkymedia folder to a new location on your main partition (in /mnt/disk1) or use the -appdata switch when starting Twon...

More likely a problem with the LG as Twonky is only streaming the file. It's the player that is mis-interpreting what it receives by assuming that it is sampled at 44.1kHz.

Maybe the property just isn't used by 5.1 - I tried it with 4.4.18.
If you put the norescale property into the default ini file that comes with Twonky and then re-install Twonky it should use the settings in the default ini as the basis for its initial config file. Might work.
