Sorry I meant to modify the Twonky startup script. Try looking for it in the /etc/init.d diectory. If that directory does not exist you will have to do some searching.

portal_keystore.dat may not get created until you subscribe to a media feed. Don't know. On my NAS it has always been there with the same date/time created as license.dat. The initial_keystore.dat file needs to be in the directory where Twonky is installed. Just copy the file there.

What does your TV's manual say it will play? Sony user documents usually have a Specifications section near the end that details this. Pay particular note to what will and will not play with DLNA. Most formats won't play with DLNA.

This cannot be done through the web interface. You have to log in to the MyBookWorld using telnet or Putty, locate the Twonky directory and make the changes there.

You are trying to put a playlist (i.e. the asx url) into another playlist (either m3u or wpl). This won't work. Look inside the asx and you will see these url's for the media stream-
